The facilities were as advertised and with no connectivity except at the top of the mountain it was a true disconnect getaway. Good reminder to being along a lot of fire wood or purchase at reception when visiting in winter time as the time next to the fireplace will be truly relaxing.

The cottage is spacious and so comfy, it was such a treat to sit and read my book with the woodfire oven on a super comfortable couch. We went on the trail, we did the 4.5km trail in a little under 2 hours as there were some steep climbs. There are even some holes that they used to mine gold from.
The hosts left us fresh eggs which we could not resist. It was lovely to sit on the stoep with a coffee and rusk and wait for the sun to come up.
The farm uses solar and wind power which is great!

The cottage was totally unique in design and decor, very comfortable inside and the surrounding area was breaktaking. I even spotted some wildlife in the camp next door. Plenty of birdlife as well. HOT water in the bathroom and kitchen - fantastic. Kitchen set up perfect! Oh the best fireplace!
