I found the pristine town of Stilbaai, a pleasant surprise and its residents kind and friendly. Coffee & Cream est. was a highlight for me and a visit to the Indigenous Garden in the middle of Stilbaai was another pleasant surprise. The quaint stores that line the streets and an array of Restaurants, like Daves Kitchen and wine, gin and olive estates are places, I would still like to explore. Dinner at Seekombuis while taking in the sunset on the beach was also a plus. The town seems to be nestled between many other littles towns within a short driving distance like Jongensfontein. I stayed at Oudewerfskloof olive farm and will return again without a second thought.

For women travelling alone who have visited many areas of South Africa, we have never felt safer than we did in Stilbaai, enjoying long walks along the beautiful almost deserted ( it was off season!) sandy beaches without concern.
Residents extremely friendly & welcoming.

Clean & friendly - not a paper in town. The Municipality is really doing it's job - congratulations. We felt SO safe, like SA used to be 20 years ago. The views are stunning and shops provide everything you could possibly need. Really relaxing.

Selection of cafes with good menu choice.
Evening eating out off peak less choice. Driving or walking its easy to get around. Avoid English summer time visits it can be cold wet and windy.

Quiet seaside resort at this time of year. Eating out easy distances. Downside to dining in South Africa the only form of potato is greasy chips. Even in 5 star hotels. The museum/ tourist information is a lovely place to eat.

The location of the unit is arguably the best in Stilbaai. The unit was clean, comfortable and well equipped. I would recommend that the wifi password be provided to guests on arrival. We would love to return.

We loved the isolated feeling surrounded by indigenous bush. The cottage is elegantly and luxuriously finished with everything needed. The owner and manager was very kind and helpful. The unit is even equipped with an inverter to deal with load shedding. Close enough to Stilbaai and major attractions in the area. Great location for gravel cycle enthusiasts.
