My wife and I stayed for 8 days earlier in November and enjoyed daily game drives in the park (self). I can't say enough good things about the hotel. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. By the time we left, we were greeted by name when we approached the restaurants and bar. The rooms were impeccably clean, both the breakfast and dinner buffets had so many choices that no matter your tastes, you were sure to find something delicious.

This is a really special spot in Kruger National Park. The bungalows and common spaces are beautiful. We saw elephants and rhinos at the watering hole from the balcony serval times. They host two guided game drives per day with amazing guides. We saw so many animals. The staff is absolutely wonderful - everything is taken care of from a lovely breakfast to wonderful dinners and plenty of snacks in between. It was a magical stay!

Incredible place with amazing views of the river. We had an elephant, hyenas, monkeys, bushbucks, and impala on the property in the short 2 days we were there. Staff was so friendly and helpful, there is an armed guard onsite at all times for protection. The staff clean the room and set up for dinner each night. The bed was super comfortable and they provided wonderful little touches like chocolates and a card with a traditional African folk tale each day. It’s also in a great location between two of the larger camps (Skukuza and Lower Sabie) which is also a hotspot for animals (lions, elephants etc). I can’t say enough good things about this place. Wish I could live there!

Rixile Kruger Lodge is an ideal place to spend some days exploring Kruger. The location is very convenient just outside the Paul Kruger gate. Clint was the perfect host. He was very responsive to my questions prior to arrival and checked in on us each day to make sure all was ok. The excellent communication (via Booking and WhatsApp) was much appreciated, especially since we were coming from the US and taking multiple modes of transportation. We were with friends and stayed in the villa, which entailed 3 separate buildings for the bedrooms; a main building with the very well appointed kitchen and living area; a small plunge pool; a braai; and a comfortable patio with large table. The rooms were spotless and bed was extremely comfortable. The whole area was very private and the bedrooms had floor to ceiling windows. There were both indoor and outdoor showers with good water pressure. The shower in one room was kind of in the room with a glass door, so maybe hanging a nice piece of cloth or curtain would be a nice addition. As others have said, the road to the villa was slightly confusing once through the first gate, but Clint provided us detailed instructions so we found it without an issue. The lodge next door is nice for a sundowner over the river or dinner if you don’t feel like cooking. Note that unless walking over in daytime, you will need to drive. We will definitely return to Rixile if back in the area. I wish that we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Thank you, Clint!

We absolutely loved the staff and the very warm welcome!! The accommodations were excellent. The food was phenomenal, and the chef even prepared delicious vegetarian food for half of our family! The airport pick-up staff was friendly and starting showing us animals as we drove from the airport to our lodging. The view of the river from our private patio was just gorgeous, and we witnessed a family of elephants coming down to the river upon arrival. The evening drive and the morning drive were perfect and we were able to see the Big 5… actually only 4 ( didn’t see a rhino) but we all learned so much! We enjoyed every moment and appreciated the parka jackets ( a very cold morning!) and mountain top break with snacks with the morning game drive. FYI: the morning and evening game drives are included with your stay. Highly recommend Leopard Sands for an amazing Kruger Park experience of a lifetime!

I saw loads of the animals I was looking for, Giraffe, Rhino, Impala, Crocodile, Elephants Kudu, and even a couple of Lions and 2 Leopards. Saw the Wild Dogs and Buffalo.
I also played golf at Skukuza Golf Club which was a bit of fun. Everyone was friendly and we always felt safe.

Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience.
Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience. This being said, it is not a zoo! Don't expect to see all the existing animals in the parc! Some are easy to spot and other not so much, this is real animal kingdom and it's difficult to say who is watching who! Sun sets are also amazing with beautiful colors. Vegetation is small but dense(bushes). According to our guide it is easier to spot the animal during winter / dry season. Bushes hve less leaves making easier spotting animals and the animals gather around the water spot. During summer it is the opposite. Bushes are more dense and r'there is water everywhere making animal spotting more difficult. So an advice: winter is great for animals but of course temperature are lower so be prepared for low temperature and bring some warm clothes.

The location is 5 minutes from the Paul Kruger Gate and the villa located in a safe property shared with the hotel. The villa is well kitted out, extremely spacious and beautifully decorated. We had the best bush holiday at Mananga and will definitely be back in the future!
Convenient lodge close to Skukuza airport. Main attraction is train on the bridge where most rooms are located. Beautiful view over Sabie river. Excellent game viewing. Knowledgeable & helpful game ranger.
Not much.
This is not a camp on its own like the idea they are selling. This is random spots within the Skukuza rest camp between other campers and random tents.
