The breakfast was excellent with a variety of dishes to choose from. The pub could do with more variety of meals. The staff was excellent! The Christmas lunch was a bit of disappointment, not enough variety of meals and the entertainment was…well it didn’t exist, a live band in the future perhaps?

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Second visit and hopefully not the last. Angela is a wonderful host and the 3 Schnauzers stole my heart. The neighbour's adorable cat came to visit and demanded a lot of attention, we gladly obliged. Everything you need is provided in the unit. We did not order any breakfast, but the menu looks delicious. We love the patio and of course the seaview.

the town made the rowers all feel very welcome and put on a tremendous show for the spectators. The town has so many nooks and crannies to explore. It was a pity the roads were under maintenance in the Main street and the bull dozers seemed to be running through the night which was strange.

Fresh Fish market had great fish and it had a little bar out back which surprised us. Town is easy to navigate
Just ensure the internet is operational. Tech services seem to be a problem

We just love Port Alfred, it is Quiet and not overcrowded / Pick n Pay Centre very nice - very friendly locals / Of course Guido's wonderful pizza / beautiful golf course / 28km of river to cruise up / the Rosehill Mall not too big, actually small but sufficient with a huge Spar. Car wash while you shop. Overall is Port Alfred just the perfect place to stay - right in the centre between East London and Port ELizabeth - 150km each way.

Port Alfred is a wonderful small town on the coast with many beaches and the river that one can boat on for quite some distance. In the area there are many other attractions such as museums, the giant pineapple, game reserves and other small towns that are worth a visit.

Absolutely everything!!!!Firstly all the amenities are exactly as the pictures provided, even more beautiful in person, I loved the fact that we could see and hear the ocean, the staff are so friendly and make you feel right at home, we wish we could stay longer, 10 out of 10 for me Kowie River Chalets👌👌👌
Spaciousness. Very well appointed, lots of good crockery and cutlery. Even binoculars provided. Comfortable beds, two big bathrooms. We were provided with a whole, self catering flat with two bedrooms and two bathrooms for a low price. It was more than we expected for what we were paying.
a quaint cottage in beautiful garden setting high on hill above Port Alfred, with cool ocean breeze. Central location and secure setting with little sunny patio in pristine garden. friendly hosts made us feel very welcome.
Great location, great view of the ocean, the beach was right at our doorstep 😍. The accommodation was well equipped with all the necessities we needed for self catering, felt like home away from home.
