After a gap of 6 years it was a joy to return and find Paternoster still unspoilt. A piece of heaven on the West Coast. A place to relax and unwind and get plenty of fresh air with long walks on the beautiful beach. Some seriously good restaurants to delight the senses - eg Noisy Oyster and Gaabai. Fossil Park nearby which is so interesting re evolution and history of man and animals- the upgraded museum and facilities are brilliant.

While I may have visited in the quiet season, there was still so much to do in the little village!
I found incredible fish and chips at "Ietsie Als" and loved the many little shops in the area - I was so impressed that the local grocer was so well stocked!
The town is easy to drive or walk around and is really beautiful. Locals and tourists alike seem to respect the sanctity of the town and I found it to be peaceful and all that I had hoped for.

Paternoster is a most beautiful and healing space in nature - I highly recommend it. Locals are friendly and helpful. The whole village is geared up well for tourists - we felt safe and appreciated everywhere. This is the place for excellent seafood and quality food in general - fresh, affordable and delicious! Great restaurants and shops and the most amazing coastline.

I love history and old buildings. The hotel has both. Very spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. My stay was a very short stopover to meet up with old friends living in Paternoster. I did not make use of the included breakfasts as they were served on the late side for my cramped schedule. Safe parking.
The hotel is PERFECTLY situated for walking excursions.
This was a 10 day stay and we loved it.
Serene and private... really peaceful surroundings and tranquil environment....except for the odd bypasser that was abusing the private property beach access to sell crayfish or kids begging for food.
Self catering with a view.
The photos do not do this place justice! The views are gorgeous & it feels like you are on the beach! The design is spectacular; tiny details such as the choice of appliances & blankets gave everything a luxury feel. We felt very safe! Would 100% return!
absolutely beautiful house on the beachfront with stunning beach views. quiet and peaceful place to stay. great walks along the beach, and lovely places to eat all nearby.
