Such a charming location. The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures. It had all the amenities we needed, and very well kept - clean and spotless. We had an overall warm and comfortable stay. The backup generator for whenever there is electricity outage.

The host met us personally and explained everything in person. They have an inverter for loadsheeding that provides lights and internet access during blackouts. We received complimentary sherry and chocolates and coldrinks and wine were available to purchase. Bathrooms were excellent and beds comfortable. The property was easy to access and everything was in working order. Gas stove for cooking during loadshedding.

Parys is pretty and peaceful.
Parys is pretty and peaceful. Yes, there are potholes...but the locals, shop-owners and ambience of town, more than make up for that!
Modern aminities for a small town. Quaint coffee shops and a long main road full of tourist type shops to keep one busy for a couple of hours.
Plumb Tree has friendly staff and a hearty menu to satisfy any hunger pangs.
Liewers Coffee is perfectly placed in centre of town to provide well prepared and pleasing-to-the-palate meals. Staff make one feel extremely welcome!

I liked the tranquility of the place and watching the boats going by the river, the friendliness of the hosts/staff. The hosts were willing to go and extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible by now and then checking and asking if we needed anything. The cleaning staff were quite disappointing as they ddnt clean our room during our stay not even makeup our bed. We just felt the hosts need to check also if they've done proper cleaning we have stated that there are certain things or areas that I was not very pleased with.

Always finds something i love. The icecream, restaurants and outdoor angling shop is a must. New checkers a pleasure to shop at.easy to access all shops and restaurants walking distance. Had a nice braai with products from checkers. Would not avoid anything or place.
