The owners and family are really fun to be around

And their friends be-friended me and took me places I’m not sure I would have experienced for myself

The cottages were not my favorite, they need updating, and I would have liked to know I'm booking a room in a cottage and not an entire cottage upfront. We were lucky though, there were no other people booked at the same time as us. The venue and views are amazing. The restaurant and the spa is exceptional as well as the rest of the wine farm. Overall we had a great stay, next time I'll rather book in the actual hotel though.
It was nice to be able to stay in an apartment vs staying in a hotel. It was cold at night, but the owner was able to give us a heater to use. The apartment had everything we could need to cook, have nights in, etc. We were able to bring laundry down to the pool and have our clothes washed.
The room is spacious and the views amazing, but the hotel need an upgrade. The gardens are well kept, the restaurant is good but pricey, okay choice since everything is far away.
