Very convenience, close to the airport as I landed at 10pm.
Very convenience, close to the airport as I landed at 10pm. The transfer facility from the airport to the hotel made it all the difference.
Secondly, my friend who was welcoming me at the airport came all the way from Witbank and she had to checkin in good time before my arrival at 10pm. I made a request to the hotel during my booking to allow this friend of mine check in before my arrival which was late. I gave the hotel my friends details and yes....she was helped and checked in before my arrival at 10pm

The place is located not far from the airport OR Tambo , ideal place for traveler in need of close place to rest while waiting for a flight or returning late home and who want to refresh before continuing your trip.
The rooms are clean , restaurant available too
staffs are friendly and willing to help , i was assisted with late night transport to and from the airport

The place is dirty.
The place is dirty. No hotel attendants but an old lame man doing all the job abd happens yo be the owner of the property. He forced me to leave by 8am instead of 9am checkout because he wanted to see a doctor because if his health issues. Its a horrible experience. I had to pay twice because he claimed what i paid online wasnt credited to him by Booking.com. its just a scam that place

Excellent small hotel - superbly run by very professional, friendly people - all very approachable. From an excellent welcome by airport shuttle driver to all hotel staff it was a pleasurable stay so clean - could eat off the floor! Super small garden and pool. So organised and tasty food. Excellent value - will return!

If flying the next day it is handy to the airport via its free shuttle otherwise stay somewhere more accessible allowing shopping/sightseeing etc; it is too remote. Other than eat and sleep there is nothing to do at this hotel.

The surroundings do not reflect the beauty found inside the guest house. This is not an isolated issue but a common problem in areas where city cleanliness is not maintained.
Despite this, I will visit again and suggest this place to my friends and others.

Sun Rock Guesthouse was an oasis in the Kempton Park area, close to Johannesburg airport. It is in a secure compound, with lovely gardens and very clean rooms.
We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel, which were both very good, and spent a while after dinner playing pool in the bar.
It would have been nice if the outdoor pool was warmer, but given that we were there for only one night that wasn’t really a problem.
Overall very good.
Very good value for money. The rooms are spacious, though basic, but have everything we need. The beds are comfy, and my friends said the breakfast was nice. It was only 10 minutes drive from the terminal. We did not use the hotel's transfer service as we worried about arriving late. Check-in and check-out were no problem.
Well situated and close to the airport, close to Kempton Park where I had to be. The rooms were clean, neat, and comfortable. The hotel does have a shuttle to make things easier especially if you fly odd hours of the night.
