The cottage is in a private valley with complete privacy. It has amazing views. For winter - it is well heated by a wood burning stove and has a wood burning hot tub. It is rare to find a pet friendly nature reserve and it was a pleasure to be able to take our fur babies with us.
They have a small farm shop with venison and steaks and a few other items.

There are not enough stars for langdam Guest Farm. The hostess Bernita was exceptional . Bernita was always responsive and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. She even baked us a fresh batch of rusks to take home. I stayed at shepards' cottage, and it had everything we needed. Right down to electric blankets.
A huge plus was the fact a menu was available, and we did not need to bother with cooking. The meals were absolutely sublime. My boy max loved the hikes and swimming in the dam.
Bernita was so considerate with regards to organizing walking schedules for all the fur babies.
I will definitely be back.

Assegaai Rest was a hit with my family! They could not stop raving about the tipis, the cleanliness, and the warm hospitality they encountered. The tents are positioned in a picturesque spot and a real treasure. They relished being in the midst of nature and fully embracing this one-of-a-kind experience. The sound of a nearby river was a delightful backdrop, and they loved spending evenings by the fireplace. The Owners Paula and Ockie had already started the Hot Tub anticipating our arrival! Our kids loved every moment. On top of that, we were very blessed to be allowed to bring our Dog with us. We were very pleasantly received on arrival as well as greeting when we left.

The bath tub was absolutely stunning, especially during the evenings because it gets extremely cold up in the mountains so the extra large bath was a super nice treat for us
