Located in a brilliant spot, right in the centre of everything. Just parked & could walk everywhere. All was very warm & cosy with heater & electric blanket (only used heated blanket to heat up bed & turned off before sleeping - but still was really warm with the heater in room). Received a whatsapp before arrival with codes to get into property gate, accommodation door & room door. Very efficient

Beautiful place for a couples stay, beautiful cottages by the water with the ducks hanging around. Feels like a fairy tale setting. The bed was extremely comfortable, 10 out of 10 for bed and bedding. I'll go back for that bed.

Dullstroom is beautifully scenic and very peacefully, we ate at some great restaurant's one of our favourites was Altitude bar and Mayfly (seriously some of the best pizza I've ever had). Dunkeld Estate is where we stayed and it feels very safe it is also very well looked after and clean. I had a great little getaway weekend did some fun activities like quad biking and paddle, eat good food and relaxed.

A quaint town best enjoyed on foot, Dullstroom has something for everyone.
From walking/hiking and mountain bike trails, to beer, wine, gin and cheese tastings. A multitude of coffee shops and restaurants will keep you fueled during your stay.
Definitely make a turn at the Waffle Co (come hungry, and order both a savoury and sweet waffle!).
Fishing, horse riding and quad biking are just some of the other activities on offer.

It is really a gastronomic adventure.
It is really a gastronomic adventure. It's all about the restaurants, the deli's , the cheese factories and the wine, whiskey and gin tastings. There is a "village market" on a Saturday, which showcases some of the area's local talent, food and gifts.
Best is, you can walk everywhere. We never felt unsafe. Everything is within walking distance, if you are staying in the town proper.
But it's all about food and art. If you can afford the art! Oh, and if you fly fish, you will have a whale of a time.

Restaurants and shops are costly but decent. Roads towards and from Dullstroom are in horrible condition. People are friendly and accommodating. I will go back, I just fell in love with this beautiful little town. Always take something with you to keep warm!

Dullstroom is really lovely for a weekend away or a stopover from the Kruger area.
There are lovely shops and fantastic restaurants. The people are super friendly and its easy to walk around and discovery little things.
Mrs Simpsons restaurants is fantastic and the hosts are amazing. We also had wonderful meals at the MayFly, Baker Brothers, The Waffle Shop and, of course, Harries Pancakes.
It can get cold there but in general, all the places are kitted out for this and are warm and cosy.
In all honestly, the meals and curios are not cheap and some stores feel a bit like tourist traps but then again, no one is forcing you to purchase anything so it's up to your budget how much you spend. But don't expect a cheap little town.
The drive from Johannesburg is quite pleasant as most of the roads are actually in fantastic condition ... BAR the small drive through Belfast. So sorry for that little town ... the roads are terrible.
Oh ... be careful of cows and goats on the road. A cute sight but can be dangerous, especially on a misty morning.
Always happy for a little trip to Dullstroom!

Quaint and quiet village once you leave the main road with its cheek-by jowl shops, restaurants and bric-a-brac outlets. Beautiful countryside to explore once you leave the town. A few very expensive shops some of which sell quite a lot of imported products ...why? A few more affordable options for fly-fishing in terms of catch-and-keep options would be appreciated. More locally manufactured and produced products would have been appreciated e.g. why do all fruit sellers, sell exactly the same fruit coming from Limpopo Province!
Usually I feel icky staying at rentals/hotels etc. but I instantly felt comfortable. Everything was clean, and the lighting and design of the space creates a lovely sense of peace and calm. We stayed in the master suite and felt like royalty. Stunning place and attention to detail. There's a coffee machine with delicious and environmentally friendly coffee pods. My husband thought I paid way more than I did for the room so it really is excellent value for money. All around, we are very happy with our stay.
Matty and her son Julian were such lovely hosts who kept up such good communication.I stayed in the Sage cabin , and the pictures did not do it any justice. It's an absolute gem of a place. I really liked the decor and finishing touches, i.e. the electric blankets as Dullstroom can get very cold. I also liked its location and how close yet far away it is from the town. They also have menu's of the towns restaurants, which I truly appreciate.
The hotel is really exceptional. Cosy and warm. Fireplaces everywhere. Rooms, sitting areas and even the spa. The staff was so accomodating - they went out of their way for us. Dinner and breakfast was something else - really delicious.
In the middle of Dullstroom, this brand new apartment-Hotel is super comfortable with everything you need as a couple. Suzanne our hostess is very helpful and responds to requests quickly.
Very luxurious place in Dullstroom, with top finishes.
Firewood is available at every fireplace as can get quite chilly.
Lockbox for easy collection of keys.
