Kunje Guesthouse, hotel in Citrusdal

Located within 30 km of Citrusdal Golf Club in Op-die-Berg, Kunje Guesthouse provides accommodation with seating area. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking.

The place and my stay was wonderful. Did a couple of the short hiking trails (I'm an not a hiking person), loved the fact that they had a guided paths. I was lucky to see the kunje river pool whilst it was winter, it was gorgeous, can't wait to experience it in summer seasons with family and friends. Hosts were very hospitality, I love that they made sure they was always firewood. I appreciate them even more for granting me a free extra day when the roads were unsafe for me to travel home and the books they borrowed me since we had a power outage on my last day. Overall it was a special stay, enjoyed the hot bath too.

Leopard Valley Eco Retreat, hotel in Citrusdal

Located in Citrusdal and only 33 km from Citrusdal Golf Club, Leopard Valley Eco Retreat provides accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The location is lovely and quiet, and private despite some of the cabins being fairly close together. Sylvia and Lukas were friendly, professional, accommodating, and very responsive. The cabin is properly kitted out for a cosy and comfortable stay, and the hot tub is a lovely extra - especially appreciated that it was heated up before our arrival on Friday evening! A great added extra would be a more detailed map / description of the hiking trail(s) in the area which are accessible from the cabins with detail of the trail markings, road crossing, etc. - although exploring the trails was a lot of fun! All in all, a lovely, relaxing getaway, perfectly balanced between rustic and lush.

I will never return as everything from the Maintenace round the pool, inside the chalet and outside was not done. Area in the reception was disgusting and open wires under the jacuzzi and outside the chalet after what seems to be a geyser that was replaced. No Wifi for 24 hours on arrival, no water for 3 hours, jacuzzi not working and tripping all the time, grass in the main pool area left very long during peak season TRULY A POOR EXPERIENCE AND I WIL NEVER GO BACK

We absolutely loved our 1 night stay at this lovely little cottage set amongst beautiful surroundings. The added bonus was the hot tub and also having a tv. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and when we needed assistance in resetting our hot water cylinder which had tripped when there was loadshedding, someone arrived immediately to attend to it. Be sure to order your wood when you arrive. This was also delivered to us promptly. The bed was extremely comfortable and the lighting next to the bed was excellent for reading at night. It was good value for money and will definitely be going back.

Citrusdal is 20 kms from the resort and is a one horse town with nothing to offer tourism. Every street is full of potholes, and there is a very limited retail offering. There is Hot Spring resort about 12 kms outside Citrusdal but they do not allow day visitors.

The setting of Citrusdal in the valley backed by impressive mountain peaks is most attractive. The town is home to a working community. For tourists, it offers convenient access to the Cederberg Mountains whether explored by car or on foot.

We just stay one night at the Baths.

We just stay one night at the Baths. Before we reach the Baths we stopped at Piekenierskloof wines De Tol. This was a good stop, I would suggest that you do a pit stop here. You can do a wine tasting. We went to the Shop Carmien where we taste Rooibos Teas. This was nice and the prices were reasonable. We also ordered toasted sandwiches and something to drink here. My toasted cheese and tomato sandwich was crunchie lekker. It was a relaxing atmosphere with a view. Then we stopped at Piekenierskloof Mountain resort. Magnificent views, we decided to order some cake and coffee here. These are the two places I would really stop at, the Baths are far from the shops so if you need to buy things would suggest that you do it before going to the Baths. We had everything that we need, therefore we did not stop at the Citrusdal shops.

It is a hidden gem close to Citrusdal. The Daisy Cottage is a beautiful and luxurious place to stay. We spent there two nights, but would love to spend more, actually. We fell in love with the tranquility and peacefulness of the place in combination with astonishing views over the lemon tree orchard with breathtaking rock formations at the horizon. And among them... THE WATERFALL! Simply, miraculous! Thank you, Mariam, for all your care and assistance.

I loved the huge sliding doors opening onto the patio and a stunning view over Citrusdal. The sliding windows in the kitchen were great for regulating a gentle through draft when using the indoor fireplace. The cottage is warm, light and super spacious providing plenty of room for two couples.
