This was our fourth stay at Gaikou Lodge as we had been so happy the last three times. The rooms are really unusually large and comfortable and spotless. The view towards the mountains, over the lawn is unbeatable. Staff were, as always, excellent

One of the best places we have ever been. The place is beautiful, with lots of details: rusks, coffee, tea, milk, water, chocolates.
The decoration is exquisite and the views are wonderful.
The kitchenette in the room where we stayed had everything to cook, but also has a very large and well equipped kitchen for all the guests with place to eat and relax.
The terrace is beautiful and the views we had from there were spectacular.
It is very comfortable, everything thought to the smallest detail to make your stay unforgettable.
What a wonderful place and what a pity we could not have stayed longer.

This hotel was by far the best place we stayed on our trip. The breakfast was sumptuous and splendid, the welcome we got was like a welcome home, and every need was catered for. The weather was very cold but we we’re delighted to find electric blankets on the bed as well as a heater in the room. The tea and coffee selection was great and we got a cute bar one to snack on each! If we could give 11/10 as a rating we would. Definitely will be back and sad we only stayed one night, thank you Patrick!!

It‘s a very unique place operated by very lovely people. We have enjoyed it very much and came back for a second stay when returning from Garden Route.

The views, the tranquilit,y the staff the welcome we received were exceptional. The room was comfy, had everything we needed and more. The bed was so comfortable that we overslept and checked-out late to our horror.
This is a very relaxing place. Away from the huzle and noise of the City. The Breede river that passes the house make it more relaxing during the night listening to the water running over rocks. Will definitely go back again.
