Traffic was terrible and the seemingly unchecked coastal development has spoiled Kyrenia and much of the coast. There is a small area around the harbour and fort which is attractive. The rest is entirely missable. Fortunately, we came for the mountain walks.

The Old Harbour is amazing, lots of restaurants and the castle is awe-inspiring. It's a lot more compact than I expected so you need to get out in the car if you stay for more than 1-2 nights but you will be spoilt for choice where to eat and stay and all budgets are covered.

Very amazing small town with charming harbor and castle. Many nearby attractions. It is highly recommended for history lovers. Tasty Halal food. Although prices went up highly during the last 5 years- it is still acceptable and attractive. Sant Hilarion and Bella Bays were the best with breath taking locations.

Kyrenia is beautiful, but if you want to see it either have a car and good walking shoes, or go in a group and split the cab fares.
Town centre can be walked around in quite easily, with the beautiful girne castle, also Bellapais, which is a monastery is a lovely quaint village. If you can hack the walk visit St. Hilarion, the views from higher up are absolutely breathtaking.

Hotel apartment is well equipped with almost everything you need. Located in the heart of Kyrenia, 10 min away from the sea shore and old city. Restaurant on the top floor is very nice and offered delicious food, even for the breakfast. Supermarkets and shops are nearby as well as other amenities.
Hotel was beautifully clean, the room was amazing, and the staff were the most polite and friendly I have experienced in North Cyprus.
The food was delicious and plentiful, and the outside areas were wonderful and so clean! Highly recommended.
