Mike sam and family were extremely welcoming in their home, and you could tell they put genuine effort into making our stay comfortable and memorable. The tree house is awesome with a great view, the functional toilet is a luxury.

This is a beautiful spot, and the bungalows are nicely equipped with mosquito nets, en suite bathrooms, and thoughtful touches and extras like wastebaskets, towels, etc. The hosts were laid back and friendly, and the ocean sounds were soothing.

Rockwater Resort is an absolute diamond find! The attention to detail in everything from the guest interactions, the room, the food and the resort itself. I spent three days in this gorgeous place, not only doing the Tanna Island top sights (Mt Yasur volcano, Blue Cave, traditional village tour and the Giant Banyan tree), but simply spending time around the resort by the pool with a book or snorkelling off the front cliffs. Silvana and John are absolutely beautiful hosts with their care and attention for the experience of your own and other guests with the island and Vanuatu as a whole.
White Sands on Tanna Island is quite amazing! You can visit Yasur Volcano, see local villages and the tribes, visit black sand beaches etc. Do remember to bring cash though as everything is quite pricey (seeing the volcano costs 9750vatu, transport to most places from the airport to White Sands costs 5000vatu and the same on the way back) and there are only a couple of ATMs in Lenakel.
Don't expect any internet connections there unless you have your own SIM-card - you are visiting a fairly remote island.
