The location is great and right by the airport. The staff are very nice. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. For a stay in Tanna, this is probably the best you can get for this price.
Offering a barbecue and a private beach area, Tanna Evergreen Resort & Tours is located on Tanna Island.

I love the scenery and natural environment. Love the snorkeling and pool. And finding little spots around to sit and meditate. Getting away from the fast life and just sitting back to enjoy nature's peace
Located at Ipak Bay, North Tanna, Rockwater Resort features a private beach and landscaped gardens. Return airport transfers are included upon request from the property.

Rockwater Resort is an absolute diamond find! The attention to detail in everything from the guest interactions, the room, the food and the resort itself. I spent three days in this gorgeous place, not only doing the Tanna Island top sights (Mt Yasur volcano, Blue Cave, traditional village tour and the Giant Banyan tree), but simply spending time around the resort by the pool with a book or snorkelling off the front cliffs. Silvana and John are absolutely beautiful hosts with their care and attention for the experience of your own and other guests with the island and Vanuatu as a whole.
Located in White Sands, Castle Tree House And Bungalow offers a garden. Featuring room service, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant, a water park and a terrace.

Everything! We’ve been travelling nonstop for 3.5+ years so we’ve stayed in our fair share of places!
Sam, Mike and Lena are SO AMAZING! Their hospitality is above and beyond what we normally experience around the world! 🌍
You can see AND HEAR the volcano from your room, an unreal experience! Highly recommend staying with them!
Thank you to everyone at CastleTree house for an amazing time!

Rockwater Resort is great with fantastic snorkelling in front of resort. Mt Yasur volcano is a must see. If you are up for a bit of basic adventure, stay in a native treehouse with volcano view. Blue cave is a worthwhile trip.⁰

A coastal gem, with lots of good snorkelling and diving spots.
The Blue Cave and MT Yasur tours were fantastic. Tanna is extremely remote so you get a feel for the real Vanuatu. Make sure to meet the local by visiting a school, or doing a heritage tour.

The Volcano Tour was spectacular at night, the Blue Cave Tour was amazing (go in the afternoon, we even had some fun with a pod of dolphins on our way back) and the Cultural Village Tours were really special and educational.
Lea's Restaurant in Port Resolution Village was the nicest food we had the whole time we were on Tanna & Whitegrass Resort and Spa was another place where we enjoyed our meals.
Where we stayed, it was not easy getting around, best to hire a driver soon as you land on Tanna.
Avoid Tanna Evergreen Resort...the staff were lovely but was very badly managed and staff not trained in hospitality!
Overall, Tanna is a very special Island and I would definitely come here again.

Tanna is a beautiful Island.
Tanna is a beautiful Island. The snorkeling isn't as easy or accessible as Santo, but there are some amazing blue holes. When we were there was alot of strong currents and low tides during the day making it hard to snorkel easily.
The Volcano is an absolute must, and worth travelling to Tanna just for that.
Where the resorts are located such as Evergreen, and White Grass, it is a long ride or car ride to the island attractions, so be prepared for that. 2 or 3 nights is a good amount of time, and consider staying a few nights at different places to get a different kind of experience across the island.

Volcano safari was the primary reason for this trip yet we enjoyed our snorkelling outings right off the beaches. It is not easy to get around the island: there is no local transportation, no buses, few taxis. We had bikes for one day but the roads are narrow and very poor. You need to rely on the local accommodation to get you around. Only places to eat are at your accommodation. We stayed next to 2 other resorts so used their restaurants. Limited menus due to isolated location but the food was very good. Expensive due to its isolation. Locals are very friendly.

Obviously people go there for the volcano. And so did we.
Obviously people go there for the volcano. And so did we. It was a magnificent experience. Makes one feel very small next to a rumbling crater full of lava. Tana island itself is beautiful and has many other sights to see. Just be mindful of the cost to get around.

The hospitality, remoteness and simplicity. Tanna Island is a unique place and an island of a 1000 smiles. Nancy is a wonderful host you went out of her way to show us the wonderful hospitality of the island. We choose this property knowing it was remote where we would be able to just relax away from the busy world and enjoy the simple pleasures of taking a walk on the beach, watching a sunrise and relaxing in a hammock. The banana pancakes were delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The hotel boasts a delightful environment, filled with comfort and a warm atmosphere. The carefully designed interior space and elegant decor create a homely feeling for the guests.
Friendly staff, beautiful location and restaurant. Volcano tour thru the hotel was excellent. The restaurant had surprisingly good food and was reasonably priced.
