The level of accommodation was akin to a 5 star boutique hotel. I was amazed that it was listed as a homestay. However the hospitality was second to none. The decor is reminiscent of being on an island of Santorini, however the level of service as with all over Vietnam was exceptionally warm and sincere. This slice of paradise called Vinh Hy Bay I hope will keep its Vietnamese soul forever. I hope they continue to be environmentally aware of rubbish removal and keeping the Sea free of chemicals. It was like being in a small fishing village with lots of quality seafood restaurants right at your doorstep and yet a 10 minute boat ride away you come upon a secluded beach with the best and clearest azure waters I have seen yet in Vietnam and is up there with the likes of Capri and Puglia. I have travelled to many destinations and I can say that this came up a top 10. Well done to La Mer for being genteel in your resort development of a unique area of Vietnam.
