When traveling in Vietnam especially as a Westerner one has to keep their expectations, I wouldn't say low but not to the same standards as a chain hotel in the West or even in Europe,
Everyone at the hotel was super friendly from the outside security guy to make sure that you parked the car in the correct spot to the bellman who would handle all your luggage and greet you with a friendly smile even though we arrived quite late . Some of the furniture were little worn but everything was super clean if I'm ever back in the area I will definitely stay there again.
