We really enjoyed our stay here! Location is great, away from the more touristic area of Mai Chau, but still not too far. The staff were super helpful and kind, assisted with everything we needed. The food was perfect as well, fresh and delicious. And the dogs were also a great addition to the chilled relaxed vibe of the place!

The two young women who were running the place were lovely and helpful, but they didn’t seem to have any back up. The location is lovely, away from the town within easy walking distance of Lac Village and good options for meals.

Simply going for an evening walk in the neighbourhood is a great way to get a feel for the place (on the back, quieter streets where all the homestays are, not the main drag obviously). Mai Chau is clearly a family-oriented community. Get a scooter or a bike and go exploring — it's a fantastic area with incredible scenery.

We stayed in Ban Lac, it was great for accomodation, food, shoping and as a departure point for bike rides and trips. Very charming and quiet place, surrounded by rice fields and a bit further from the bigger road (still easy to get there). It was our favourite place in Vietnam.

    It was really lovely.

It was really lovely. Calm without being too quiet, with lots of nice roads to walk and look out over the rice fields and gardens. Just enough food/beer vendors spread about to be good :) Lots of dogs about, and the smell of burning plastic was a pitty.

This area is incredibly beautiful - rice paddies all around as well as much other vegetation and farming. Beautiful wild nature in the mountains. The people are very kind and the local cuisine is delicious. Visiting by scooter or motorcycle would be best as the sights are spread out and it would be a little difficult to visit. You could also do it by car but that would be less fun!

After checking out La Maison de Buoc, I returned to Hanoi and had a flight back to Australia. If I knew that the trip would be so beautiful and memorable, I would stay longer. Mai Chau this season is very beautiful, even though there are no longer rice fields. People have harvested all the rice since mid-November. But it's okay, I visited Pu waterfall, Mai Hich stream, Thai ethnic villages, climbed Red Rock and Kiapaco Cave. It can be said that my trip was too short, I wish I could stay longer.

This farmstay is a little paradise on earth. Perfect relaxing place surrounded by the green paddy field. Complimentary breakfast and dinner. Owner was very friendly and helpful. She arranged the different dishes for me becauseI do not eat pork and beef. Room was spacious and bathroom is very clean. I was in the middle of very beautiful paddy field by ridding bicycle in early morning. Get free bicycle at Homestay. Ownner helped me to book the ticket from Hotel to Hanoi city with cheap price. Highly recommended to this little homestay.

We had a wonderful time in Mai Chau. Thin is new to the hosting business, but she and her family excel the job perfectly. They don't offer dinner, but this can be obtained from the Homestay next door. Thin's husband even drove us to Pu Luong one day for little money to visit Hang Doi in Kho Muong. We highly recommend you to stay at Thin's homestay.

Beautiful and peaceful homestay in Mai Châu. Lim was amazing both as a host and in personality. She and her family made us feel comfortable and like home even during the typhoon Yagi. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here in every way and it was unlike any other place I stayed at in Vietnam.

The breakfast was delicious and the best part was that we could rent bicycles anytime without a reservation. Cycling around the hotel was a great experience! Be sure to read the signage on the property about the meaning and core values of EcoLodge!
