I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cagina Boutique Hostel in Doing Hoi and my god, what an absolutely gorgeous place to stay and enjoy the night. The staffs were incredibly helpful and accommodating, the common areas are maintained well and that creates such a pleasant environment. The cleanliness of the hostel is outstanding, my air-conditioned room is comfortable and provided a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the road. They also have hair dryer here, what a godsend.

It is a stop off spot to go to Phong Na and other points, but the city is very charming, not very touristy. We loved it - go to the street market, the tree hugger cafe and seafood stands on the beach.

Dong Hoi has some beautiful beaches by the resorts, but there really isn't much else going on. There seemed to be 1-2 streets where you could shop or buy things, and there was no nightlife. I think it's very much a resort town — and people don't leave those resorts.

Caves are really a great attraction to visit in Vietnam! In addition to the caves and nature, we enjoyed the river view and walking along the river. We visited the other side of the river where the locals live in small picturesque houses.

PHONG NAH Cave is the #1. then Dark Cave. then Paradise Cave.
Can't do 3 caves in 1 day. only 2 cave tour possible. So do it all in 2 days

It's a beautiful fishing village, however they are not used to tourists and not tourist friendly. If you want to see the sights in the area, there are better places to stay at and then go on an organised trip. You can not swim in the sea there either

Everything, the food was outstanding, the service was exceptional. The staff were very helpful. The room size was great. Our experience has been that beds are quite hard in Vietnam, however the beds here were quite soft and comfortable. Shower was hot and the rain head gave awesome coverage. Can fully recommend the spa services as the hour long full body massage was exceptional.
Beautifil spacious hotel oozing with charm and character. Spacious hotel room with fully updated electrical services and air conditioning etc.

Knowing that I don't speak Vietnamese and would reach Dong Hoi late at night by bus, Hoài went above and beyond to talk to the bus operator before my trip and also the bus driver on the day itself so that they could drop me off at the right place. She'd go above and beyond to help you out!
Friendly staff. Was served by Linh at front counter. The bell boy even carried my bag up to my room even when I said I should be fine. Good Vietnamese hospitality. Buffet breakfast included. About 15mins drive from the airport
Great value hotel , amazing views from the balcony. Dong hoi is a lovely town off the tourist route worth staying a couple of nights . Host family so nice.
