We were on St Thomas for 3.5 days after having left Tortola.

We were on St Thomas for 3.5 days after having left Tortola. I could have stayed on St Thomas for maybe another day or so, especially if we would have gone to St John. We went in off season - (mid July to early nov). Most everything on the island that is not associated with a hotel shuts down about 8 to 9pm. The shops will shut down at 5pm if there is not a cruise ship there, sometimes they wont open at all. The shopping area near the cruise port is worth checking out but shouldn't be considered an all day thing. Maybe a couple hours. The tram to paradise point is also really only open when the cruise ship is in the harbor. How do you know if there will be a cruise ship: vinow.com We mainly ate at the restaurants at our hotel: Westin and Bouy Haus. St Thomas is easy to navigate if your renting a car. They drive on the left and the driving is a bit of a free for all, you will have to go slow. Its not as mountainous as Tortola, thank God. Go to the Mountain Top Souvenir shop, Drakes seat look out, Magens Beach (dont expect to see anything here for snorkeling)

    Beautiful location, beaches, flowers.

Beautiful location, beaches, flowers. Very hot and humid, though! People very real and honest, mostly friendly and helpful. Everything very expensive. Roads narrow and somewhat dangerous. Many taxis, also expensive. Water is lovely all around. Island itself is rather poor, dirty, smelly. Resorts very nice.

St. Thomas was a delightful 5-night Caribbean stay on Sapphire Beach near Red Hook. The food was great and affordable, shopping was fun, groceries were SKY HIGH, and the rum punches were mood setting. The extended day and night power outages made it difficult to get a restful night sleep because I use a sleep apnea machine, so when the power would go out twice for two hours in the nighttime hours it was tough to feel refreshed the next day. If your renting, I recommend you ask your host if your bldg/unit has a backup generator. The beaches are 100% better on days when there's none or just one cruise ship in port. Check the St. Thomas cruise ship schedule to MAX your beach adventure activities.

St Thomas a beautiful island that I recommend everyone to travel to at least once. St Thomas, it's an experience with friendly people, therapeutic beaches that revitalize and relax you. Driving is on the left side and takes getting use to in maybe a day. The food is expensive but tasty if you are a foodie buff like myself. i frequented Najees vegetarian restaurant, Arians in subbase and Rancho Latino in town. My favorite spots are the beaches. The next time I travel I wouldn't avoid anything because the island is very welcoming to all.

St. Thomas is a beautiful island. The people are friendly.

St. Thomas is a beautiful island. The people are friendly. It was challenging for us driving on the left side. The drivers were gracious. I love downtown at the waterfront. We drove up to the hills to visit the beautiful home. We took the ferry to St. John's and spent the day there. The only thing is that everything is very expensive. I would definitely go back..

It was beautiful here, and the weather was lovely, but everything is extremely expensive compared to other places. $9 for eggs, $11 for one slice of pizza, and $5 for a regular keychain—not to mention, taxi rides charge $15 or more per person to go anywhere. not much to do besides beaches, really.

Great villa, spacious and comfortable. The grounds are lush and absolutely stunning. While the pool area is rather small, the common grounds and area surrounding it are well curated and leave a wonderful impression.
