The Cottage at Villa Indigo, hotel in Lindbergh Bay

The Cottage at Villa Indigo offers accommodations in Charlotte Amalie, 1.6 miles from Charlotte Amalie Harbor.

It was a very nice quiet residential neighborhood on the mountain overlooking Charlotte Amalie. I liked that we had a private casita. Having a harbor view was also a nice bonus. Being able to walk to the local bar/restaurant was a plus as driving was unnerving for us.

Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance.

Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance. You really don't even hear the planes takeoff. The hotel is older so don't expect the grays and golds that are in right now. More grandma's house style. The staff is great. The pool is small but has a great view. The bar area also has a restaurant. The price is affordable and you could not even have to leave.

The beach was super clean and the water was fabulous! Right in front of our hotel balcony! Would definitely return again. This was second trip to emerald beach. Walked the whole beach many times- pure relaxation! Preferred staying at resort with all the water sports offered them venturing into busy downtown

One day was enough there it was nice to see the beach but don’t offer much at all, people there are not very friendly in day crowd, definitely early morning or later evening spot. Definitely would stay anywhere beside emerald beach resort if ever had to stay that way again. Food was WAY over priced for what it was. It was decent food but price was insane comparing to other places we ate and what we paid.

The hotel advertises that it is recently renovated.

The hotel advertises that it is recently renovated. It is a complete lie, it is old and very tired. You feel dirty in your room as everything is old and paint is coming off the wall and there is no lift in the hotel so you have to climb stairs on carpets that have not been changed since the hotel was built 100 years ago ( I think 1970). It is a ruin and the staff are the most unfriendly and unhelpful I have ever meet.

The hotel is very basic and needs some tender loving care.

The hotel is very basic and needs some tender loving care. We were there in December 2022 and the restaurant was not opened for dinner so we had to go across the bay. It's not in walking distance and there really isn't much else around. We also spent $20 to literally cross the street from the airport to the hotel If you can drag your luggage, I recommend you do it.
