Arawak Bay: Inn at Salt River, hotel in Frederiksted

Located in Christiansted, Arawak Bay: Inn at Salt River features a shared lounge and a terrace.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating from the minute we walked in the door. Monica the manager was awesome. She did our laundry for us several times while there. We had full access to their kitchen which was very nice for breakfast and lunch with a family and kids. They all shared the best spots on the island with us and even offered directions. I was very happy with the location and quietness of the area. 20 minutes to almost everything. I will be back and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Thank you Arawak

King Christian Hotel, hotel in Frederiksted

Located in Christiansted, a few steps from Cay Beach, King Christian Hotel has accommodations with a private beach area and private parking.

Beautiful hotel conveniently located in the city. You can walk to restaurants, shops, stroll the boardwalk, get on catamaran for a day or half day on the water and even do some snorkeling. You can take the boat right on the boardwalk across to Hotel on the Key and go swimming or venture out and go to any of the nearby beaches. The room were comfortable. I love the renovation that was done. Definitely would stay here again!

We stayed at our resort the whole time because we didn’t want to leave so I can’t rate Frederiksted. We ordered a taxi before we left and Henry was waiting for us at the airport. We called him again to take us back and he was there on time.

Frederiksted is definitely a sleepy town.

Frederiksted is definitely a sleepy town. Not much happening there and even less activity since Covid. Its quaint and has a few nice restaurants. Walking the peer is a good activity, but in general Christiansted is much more lively.

If you're looking for complete quiet and solitude this is the place. There are many improvements that could be made such as handicap access, a bulletin notifying guests of events such as a band, music nightly would be nice, a can opener in the room, and better TV provider.

Since the cruise ships are not showing up the number of businesses were dramatically closed. Frederiksted is a dirty nasty run down town. A lot of homeless people and dispair. I know they blame it on hurricanes but let’s be real, it’s a third world island and I’m embarrassed to call it as a U.S. territory.
