This was a repeat stay for us, my kids and my wife also joined. LAST DAY OF SUMMER we said, let's do it again. This time really enjoyed their in house restaurant Sophia. Good mixed cuisine, tasty dishes, bit slow service, but worth the wait. Good quality food needs time to be prepared to perfection. My kids loved the playground area, the nice weather made it even more fun to be out playing around. ROOM was just perfect! Quality Turkish furnishings, paying attention to luxury details. WE CAN ONLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL IN THE HEART OF SAMARKAND!

Samarkand left us a bit puzzled. While it offers stunning monuments and a rich history to explore for a day, there isn’t much to do beyond that. Siyob Bazaar has some touristy items, but it didn’t feel particularly unique. Unfortunately, our visit to Mikon Mall was disappointing due to encountering some blatantly racist behavior (which I even recorded). However, apart from that experience, the people across Uzbekistan were warm and welcoming, which truly enhanced our trip.

Samarkand is a city of incredible historical and cultural significance, often regarded as one of the jewels of Central Asia. It is located in modern-day Uzbekistan and has been a key center of commerce, science, and culture for over 2,500 years. The city's history stretches from its role as an ancient Silk Road hub to its prominence during the Timurid Empire under the rule of Timur.

I went Nov 28-Dec 4, there were some days of sun, rain and temperate was cold (6-9 C). The city itself is beautiful, with gorgeous sites and monuments, lovely people and cuisine. I felt very safe and walked everywhere, the planning is great with large sidewalks, very pedestrian friendly. Since I came in the fall, the leaves were golden so it was really nice to enjoy the weather and walk around.
I recommend a tour guide for the major sites - Registan Square, Gur-i-Amir, etc..there is so much to see and learn. The mosaics and titles and mosques are just beautiful.

My trip to Samarkand was absolutely unforgettable!
My trip to Samarkand was absolutely unforgettable! This city is a true gem, blending rich history, stunning architecture, and warm hospitality. The magnificent Registan Square left me in awe with its intricate tilework and grandeur. Visiting landmarks like the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis and Bibi-Khanym Mosque felt like stepping back in time.
The local cuisine was incredible—plov and freshly baked bread are must-tries! The people of Samarkand were kind and welcoming, making the experience even more special.
Everything, from the vibrant markets to the peaceful gardens, added to the charm of this historic city. I would rate my trip a solid 10/10 and highly recommend Samarkand to anyone seeking culture, beauty, and unforgettable memories.

An amazing city which friendly people. So much to see and learn about history in central Asia which also had a significant impact on Europe and Eastern Asia. 2-3 days are probably enough but we stayed longer to not be in a rush.

the staff were all amazing, friendly and egger to help, everybody. I felt like am between my family. I felt safe with my for 2 females. The boss there Mr. Bigzout is respectful and honest gentleman. The Hotle as building is new.
in Uzbekistan not a lot of people speak English but, in this hotel, there is no issue with that.
next to the place there is very nice, yummy food too, but the smell of the BBQ can reach your room. there are a lot of restaurants and cafes close by. There is a balcony but just on main street.
This place has a lovely charm to it and the building itself has a lot of character and history. Room and bathroom were clean. This place also had the best breakfast we had in Uzbekistan, it was great to try lots of Uzbek foods. The host Aziz was also very helpful especially when booking taxis. We would also recommend this place for its location, walking distance of all the main sites in Samarkand which we loved! Would definitely recommend!
I don t have words to express the amazing service and hotel. It is a new boutique hotel within walking distance from the main attractions.
The rooms were beautiful, sparkling clean, the towels fluffiest in the world.
The staff - exceptional!!! The “welcome” sweets - much appreciated.
The breakfast delicious with a lot of options.
The best hotel we stayed in Uzbekistan!
The hotel was very comfortable and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended a very good restaurant serving Uzbekistan food about 700m away.
