This place was the best accommodation we had in our entire trip in Uzbekistan. The hotel has a nice, familiar vibe to it, with very friendly staff can speak English and Russian, thank you for Manager Umidbek he allow me to check in early when I arrive by train at 8am without any extra payment, attentive staff and tasteful decorations. Comfortable bathroom and excellent wifi. Our room had a beautiful terrance with an amazing view. Also, breakfast was delicious. The staff was helpful in organizing a trip to the fortresses in the desert. Highly recommended!!

Fun fact is I'm technically reviewing the hotel next to them since I was told at one point they overbooked this hotel and they would place me at a similar value hotel next door but in reality it felt is the same owner/company. The one I stayed in did look like the "cheaper" version of the two and the room I had booked looked a bit nicer than the hotel I was placed in but its not like it was a horrible downgrade just noticeable enough. I liked the location since is fairly walkable to the old town while also not being in the old town itself plus is next to a really good restaurant around the corner and not far from the train station. The staff was friendly though and since all our stay was good, the small downgrade was not enough to sour the experience at all.

It is a madrasah converted to a bite like most hotels in and around the old city. Although rooms were small the staff Ms Manzura went above and beyond to help us with anything we asked for. I highly recommend New Star Boutique hotel for your stay in Khiva

The owner was incredibly welcoming and went out of his way to help us find great restaurants and activities for our kids. One of the highlights of our stay was when he invited us to join his mother in making traditional Khiva bread—an unforgettable experience that added a special touch to our trip. The view from the roof is one of the best in the city.

Great location. Right outside the walls of the old town, so at a great price. Clean with nice breakfast and nice hosts. There s a great place to eat nearby too, for a fraction of the money in the old Khiva. Has a really nice balcony.
