My partner and I stayed for 3 wonderful nights whilst attending our sons graduation at the nearby Young Harris College.
Having travelled from England we arrived late at night to be greeted by Garrett who was friendly and informative, this I now understand to be the wonderful Southern hospitality everyone mentions which we also experienced from all the reception & Oaks staff, especially the 2 lovely ladies who served us breakfast. (Sorry we didn't get to see you on our last day, we slept in late then had to rush off)
Our room was spacious & comfortable, I didn't use the AC as I find it plays havoc with my breathing so opted for the large ceiling fan which was ample for our needs.
The bed was so huge you need a sat nav to move around it :)
We met a lovely couple in the Oaks bar who mentioned to us that the building will be going through a makeover which is possibly well needed however I had no complaints to make about the decor.
We spent quite a lot of time in the gardens and on the pier with beautiful views of the mountains & lake.
Overall we had an excellent stay which was possibly one of the finest of my 57 years on this Earth.

Room was clean and was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful even after multiple guest were extremely rude to them and he handled the situation perfectly. I was more than happy to step up and say something to the rude guest when the man running the front was doing the best he could with people checking in by himself.
Our Lake Chatuge cottage rentals and rooms are complete with private decks overlooking our secluded cove and the surrounding natural forest.

Beautiful area and old but nice hotel. Weather turned cold while we were there and we had problems with our air/heat conditioner that made alot of racket on and off all night and kept us awake. Room was a bit dark but beds were comfy. We left a day early because of not being able to sleep second night. Restuarant was great as well as breakfast buffet. Hotel would not refund our third night.

Great location to many water falls and hiking trails.
Great location to many water falls and hiking trails. Many restaurants available, but closed on Sundays and Mondays. Getting around Young Harris very easy, except for some road construction incurring delays. Unfortunately the Oaks Restaurant on the Ridges property is still closed, except for a terrible breakfast. The best restaurant for dinner is Brasstown Resort and Spa, and breakfast at Mary's Southern Home Cooking.

Plenty to do in Young Harris with lots of restaurants and shops. Casa Bella, Mary's Southern Grill and Brasstown Valley Resort restaurants were excellent. We hiked Raven Cliffs and Tallulah Falls which were beautiful. Nearby in Helen there is an Alpine Village with many shops and restaurants. Lots of fun walking around and dining at the Hofbrauhaus Restauant on the river.

Young Harris is a cute little area with Blairsville and Hiawassee close by. We had a spectacular breakfast at Mary’s Southern Grill. The food was fresh and right off the skillet when it came. We also has a wonderful top notch dinner at Casa Bella. It is a one woman show, and feels like going to a friends house for dinner. Passionately prepared when you order, family recipes and so delicious! She had Italian and European dishes.

Beautiful location and the resort was very nice, relaxing and enjoyable. My family and I were extremely happy with our stay. Great shower, coffee maker and courteous staff. We stayed 3 nights and would definitely return. Lake is breathtaking and there's room to roam... making it feel like so much more than a typical hotel/inn.
Did not have breakfast. Location is very good. Loved the layout and choice of restaurants. View was exceptional. If we had not had a room with a view then rating would not be as good. The drive up to the hotel was excellent as well. We took lots of photos.
The front desk staff were always very helpful, especially Nicole and Denise. We loved the beautiful hotel, lobby, grounds, and pool area. The morning walk to the lake was so gorgeous and something exciting for our 3 and 4 year old.
