The hotel room did not look at all like the pictures posted on Booking.com. The room was dark, dingy, old carpeting, and furniture and wall had chips in them. We did not end up staying, it was that bad. This is what the manager said about us. Keep in mind that we weren't in the room for more then 10 minutes, I did not speak to her because she wouldn't answer the phone. She stated this: "We refunded the guest half price of what she was supposed to pay against our policy. Guest was very rude and did not accept the result. Guest called multiple times to the property afterward. She was upset due to the seasonal pool being closed. We do not intend to fully refund the guest as she stayed for over an hour before checking out. We have to clean the room, and also we have a no same day cancellation policy without the penalty." The facility did not look at all like the pictures. I should've listened to the many negative comment on Booking.com about the Oakhurst. This is completely false and an attack on my character.

Very clean, nice staff, complimentary coffee, tea, area was great, pool was really nice. There were free bikes which sadly we didn’t have time to use.
