We stayed in the lodge on our Washington roundtrip. Everything was perfect. The location is very good for exploring the surrounding area. The beautiful little town can be reached on foot over a bridge in just a few minutes. The room was very quiet and nice furnished. We felt very comfortable.

Man, this place is awesome! We usually stay in Twisp but this will be our new go to place when we're in the area. From checkin to the fresh baked goods that are always available to the cabin we stayed in, everything was just excellent. The bed was great, shower was strong, coffee was robust, kitchen was equipped and we were very happy! The main village is a short walk and the morning breakfast was excellent.

Very nice and beautiful inn which I would happily return to. It is right on the river and very quiet, with a beautiful lawn just outside the room. We loved seeing the deer! Penny the owner was super nice. Overall we had the impression that the place is well-cared for and managed with love.

The review of the Rio Vista Hotel I submitted to be posted was answered by the hotel but was not entirely accurate. Our toilet never worked right. We did get a reply from management 30 minutes after posting the review online with an offer to refund 20% of one room for the last night. This was a nice gesture but seemed inadequate for one night that completely disturbed two couples.

I have 3 generations of family in the area.
I have 3 generations of family in the area. We rode our Harley's there so we could explore the roads ect. .No matter how much you love your family, it's nice to come back to a nice quiet room and jump in the pool or hot tub. There was other people to visit with that were interesting

Winthrop is a small town that expects and welcomes visitors. It feels real, not superficial and touristy. We walked a short 5 minutes to a pizza place that was fun and had great service and a very good pizza.

A small town in the Western style.
A small town in the Western style. It emerged during the gold rush. Very fun, lots of trails. However in the hot summer days there is fire hazard and we could not access it through Cascades Hwy, which is splendid in its own.

There were forest fires so Rte 20 was closed which meant we had to take long way home. I worry about this little city as it seems like places are shutting down. I hope to see more stores and restaurants opening up. It's hard to find a place to eat dinner.

The town of Winthrop is okay if you are in to Western themed stuff. Getting around is easy enough. There is basically just one street. We poked our head into a couple of restaurants and decided to grill our own food.

My favourite place I’ve stayed in Washington so far. Winthrop is lovely. Breakfast is good but the area to sit is tiny - we had to sit outside and there were lots of wasps around and my friend got a really nasty sting by a wasp that is still stinging over a day later.
We loved the room and the view. The accommodations were exceptional. The pool, hot tub, and fitness room were close by. Walking trails were nice to have.
The proximity to the Mountains and a small town like Winthrop made Sun Mountain and excellent venue.
Nice creek to sit at behind property. Nice walk into town, or hotel offers bicycles. Large spacious room. Grocery store and good restaurant close. Breakfast included.
