The town of Whitefish is very scenic and beautiful.
The town of Whitefish is very scenic and beautiful. IT is nicely decorated at Chrismast, and there is a large variety of restaurants and businesses to visit. The town is also close to he ski hill. The ski resort is great with many different types of runs, short lift lines, and reasonably priced lift tickets.

We're locals so we visit Whitefish a lot.
We're locals so we visit Whitefish a lot. If you want a small ski town experience this is it. It's close to Big Mountain, Glacier National Park, endless hiking trails, mountain scenery and clean air (except in late July to mid September when it is sometimes fire season). There are so many good restaraunts in Whitefish and the local area of Bigfork, Columbia Falls, and Kalispell, MT to tempt your appetites.

Downtown is fun. there are a variety of shops and restaurants with excellent dining and service. The Tupelo is just one of many, maybe the best. We did some hiking. We came to visit Glacier NP and stayed in Whitefish because it is smaller than Kalispell. We did not realize that the climate on the east side is dryer and probably clear than West side due to moisture from Columbia river, etc. but we drove east and had fun there as well. We also drove up to Eureka and did some exploring. For those of a woodsy nature the Beaver Loop and Lion Mountain trails are nice and the Forestry station on the north side of Eureka has topographic maps of Kootenai National Forest. We also hiked
Apgar trail and saw mountain lion tracks next to the tracks of the last person in.
we left our bear spray at the desk at the hotel. you can't take it on a plane so check with the desk before you buy.

Whitefish is a beautiful town and has a great atmosphere for young families. The downtown has a lot of interesting shops, great coffee places (Wild Coffee was our favorite!), and several good options for food (try Madman Burgers!). There is also a lake with public access.

The lodge was warm and welcoming. Beautiful lobby and really good food at the restaurant overlooking the lake. Nice day spa, Free canoe usage and nightly smores by the firepit. Our room was fabulous with a large bathroom, fireplace and wooded views. Conveniently located a short drive to Glacier National Park west entrance. Indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzi. I loved everything about Whitefish Lodge.

Whitefish was great. We loved the shops and restaurants. Craggy Range had a great Bison patty melt and an outdoor seating area that was fun. Buffalo Cafe was also a great place to eat. The service was quick and the food was really good.

The property was beautiful! A very homely feel and fabulous decor. The bedrooms were super comfortable and clean. The staff were so lovely and friendly! The free snacks in the lobby were such a nice touch, made me feel like the hotel really cares about their guests on a deeper level than most places. I would love to return in the near future!
Duck inn lodge was great, location walkable to the centre of whitefish with stores etc nearby. The staff were amazing, always there to help, great choice every day for breakfast and rooms were good, balcony was a great spot to catch some early morning wildlife.
Would 100% recommend
Location was great as we were heading off early to drive the Going to the Sun Road. It was also a short drive to Whitefish itself which has plenty of options for food and beverages.
