I'm totally in love with Luis place! It was a perfect place to stay in for our 10 days NYC trip. It gives us a space to chill down after intensive day of exploring New York. All 4 of us had a space to have a minute for ourself. Apartment is well equipped, we have everything needed. Bed were super comfortable. Bus stops just around the corner with few lines that will take you directly in the area of Time Square in 15-30 minutes, even late in the evening. Don't worry about the distance between the apartment and Manhattan, because it is truly not an issue. What is worth to mention, apartment is absolutely beautiful with all the decorations and furnitures. It is not another soulless place for tourist just to sleep in, this is the place that you want to stay in and enjoy! And what is more... from the area you will have THE BEST view for Manhattan. Totally recommend taking the walk and enjoy the view. Neighborhood is safe, with shops, bakery, restaurant around the corner. We tried Salvadorian place and bakery near by and both were really nice.
Luis was a wonderful host to us. He explained to us how to use bus ticket app, give many useful hints. Hopefully I will get back someday :)

There was Loads of space in the apartment which meant it was a comfortable place to rest. A short bus journey to manhattan meant committing in every day was easy. The beds were particular comfy.

The room was very small but comfortable for two people. The whole room was very modern and in great shape. The bed was comfortable and we could control the heating so we weren't cold. The window opened slightly too which was great when we wanted a little city air! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok. I appreciated the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower cubicle.

West New York is a small, older town. I would stay on the New Jersey side again when visiting NYC. NYC has too much traffic, too many people, etc. West New York is a much better place to stay when visiting the area.

Once we figured out the transit apps we were on fire!
Once we figured out the transit apps we were on fire! the bussing app in WNY was not intuitive but once you got in your regular trips and just reused them it became very easy. Our location was very close to a bus stop and only took 20-40 min to get into the city depending on traffic/time of day. It was very safe and quiet and there were a couple of great restaurants. The plumbing/sewer systems are apparently very old though so you can't flush TP down many of the toilets in the area, including where we stayed. You literally have to put the used TP in the trash which is a little smelly and gross. We just made sure we did #2 in the city places we went to but if you're bathroom shy like my daughter that could be an issue too.
