Staff was polite, happy and helpful. Breakfast service was excellent. Room was great. Front desk folks were the best. My grandkids loved the pool. I couldn't believe how friendly the staff was throughout my two+ day stay.

West Chesterfield would be perfect for hikers, something we're not. We were hoping to spend time in Brattleboro, Vermont because we remembered it as having a great downtown, with many restaurants. That was pre-covid. Now it has the same problems of many cities: drugs, homeless people, and far too many closed stores and restaurants.

We enjoyed the natural features of the area like hiking, kayaking and the lovely gorge park. Convenience to restaurants, mostly in Brattleboro, was helpful. The Marina Restaurant was a favorite. Brattleboro is interesting if you're into shopping.
