Hampton Inn Uniontown, hotel in Uniontown

The Hampton Inn Uniontown hotel is located in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, a town full of homes, historic buildings and numerous cultural attractions. Uniontown Mall is 800 metres away.

Breakfast and maintenance staff were really pleasant, informative and professional and took really good care of us. They really cared that we were there. Breakfast was well done and presented. The rooms and corridors were well maintained and clean. The location was also good for visits into the Allegheny Mountains, Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, Ohiopyle, Morgantown, The Summit Inn and Pittsburgh. It was suggested to us that Meloni's Restaurant in Uniontown was a long time favorite and it sure was. We ate there on 3 nights.

The general area was very depressed with very little businesses right by the hotel! The hotel itself was not a hotel I would ever stay at again. It was dirty and needed remodeling. Things were broken and the mattress was ancient. The carpeting had several black marks on it and it was hard sleeping in a Room that hadn’t been dusted for a long time! Overall very disappointed with the location and the condition of this hotel.

The chain restaurants in the area were very bad.

The chain restaurants in the area were very bad. I wish I went to more local spots but they weren't as easy to get to with kids. Frank Loyd Wright houses in the area are great and totally worth checking out. Fort Necessity is pretty cool to see. I definitely recommend watching the video at the visitor center as the fort isn't that thrilling without context. Hiking in the area is great and there are plenty of cool trails all around.

    Two major problems.

Two major problems. When I first got there, the room rate was correct but I was informed that I had to pay a $200 security deposit. Nowhere was this ever mentioned prior to my checkin nor was there any indication of this on their website. Since it was too late to cancel, I had no choice but to accept this. The inside lock on the door to my room was no working. Didn't line up. Reported it in the morning but not sure if the person at the desk ever reported it or not. He was getting breakfast.

It was a nice small town with historic buildings downtown and activities surrounding it like state parks and Fallingwater (FLW house). We ate at O’Gillies Bar &Grill. A little out of the way, but great food.

I was born and raised in Uniontown until I was 8 years old. I am very familiar with the area because my family lives there. We love coming back to the area and seeing the sights and visiting with family. When I am there, it brings back many great memories.

The annual pilgrimage at Mount Saint Macrina is always a great experience. Everybody who comes once always comes back. More volunteers are needed to help the nuns prepare for this annual event and they have a nice Super 8 to stay at!

The location of the hotel was within easy distance to many shops and places to eat. We were about 35 minutes from WVU for graduation. The breakfast was the usual fair. Hot and cold selections. The breakfast lady was keeping things neat and stocked. The bed was very comfortable, sheets soft. Bathroom was good amount of space - loved the mirror with the backlight. Towels were okay.

Understaffed, had to change rooms due to uncleaniness, the smoke/fire alarm was duct taped to remove the sensors on the ceiling (very unsafe and illegal). Lots of marijuna (pot) smell throughout the hotel. I stay here every year multiple times. The hotel is diminishing by the year.

Just a basic motel for a low cost (it is really much cheaper than other hotels around). The receptionist was really nice, kind, and helpful.
