Location is great. Cleanliness you sometimes 2 days without cleaners, they say they are short staffed. Checking is by small window and you are outside, and their breakfast consisting of children juices and cherry tarts they give you through the window.

Union City is nothing than a small city between Oakland and St Jose, and there is not much to tell and visit. However, right at the entrance is the iFly indoor skydive facilities which may be an interesting one for many people. There are a lot of shopping malls along Union City, Fremont, and Newark too.

This hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with plenty of tasty choices. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless and the hotel was very quiet. The staff were also professional, courteous, helpful and friendly.
Room is as any hotelroom in the USA large enough. Parking spaces are sufficient as well, and closely located to the highway, but again this is basically the case for any USA hotel, so it does not stand out, and the price of nearly 250USD incl taxes is therefore way to high for a "motel 6 " experience.
Having stayed in about 30 motels in the last 6 months, I appreciated that at Hampton Inns Union City the refrigerator and a/c were QUIET. This is hard to find. Everything else also worked: darkness drapes, showers with quick hot water, microwave, coffee maker, ...
Very comfortable room, bed was nice as well as pillows (rare in my experience). Nice hotel with friendly staff. Decent breakfast.
