we went in December, so we did not mind the lack of party atmosphere or crowds. it was a wonderful slow pace and everyone was so friendly. The hotel is close to beach, not on the beach but again didn't mind. The staff is friendly and rooms are clean. They gave enough towels for our stay at check in, that was a wonderful change, I hate begging for towels at front desk.
This hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from Tybee Beach Pier and 6 mi from Fort Pulaski. Guests of Hotel Tybee will enjoy 2 outdoor pools and a seasonal outdoor Tiki Bar.

First time on the Tybee Island. the atmosphere is so pleasant and easy. everywhere we went we felt welcomed and appreciated. The time was of course during a festival, but we met so many people who come back year after year and we understand why. food was great, we enjoyed a small establishment called The Quarter sports bar, had the best hamburger and drinks. We also recommend The Deck and a shout out to our waiter, Eli, he is the best. To get around, we rented a golf cart. Golf Cart Pros is the place, they are so friendly and helpful and met all our needs.

Argh you ready for a fun time?
Argh you ready for a fun time? The Tybee Pirate Festival should be on your calendar. It was surprisingly family friendly. Lots of things for younger kids. Our teen grandsons struggled a little to be entertained but soon let go of their too cool attitudes and got into the fun.
The beach was amazingly clean and we really enjoyed walking, wading and fishing.
The restaurants, bars and shops were very busy yet as one of my grandsons said the staff were “ Iowa nice” He has recently moved from Iowa and has been missing that vibe. Thank you Tybee for a wonderful fall break family vacation.

Tybee Island locals are fun, friendly & helpful.
Tybee Island locals are fun, friendly & helpful. It's easy to get around. We're going to miss the Pirate Fest by one week... We're suffering from FOMO for it. We'll have to schedule our visit dates better next time; it looks fun!

Like the area. Only drawback is the parking.
Like the area. Only drawback is the parking. You have to pay to park anywhere or be towed. The minimal charge is $8.00. There are some great restaurants. No chain restaurants at all. Sting Rays, Pier 16, Fannie’s, Sunrise Restaurant, & The Crab Shack. Love the Pavilion and Pier.

We loved Tybee island.
We loved Tybee island. Tybee Island Beach is beautiful and the island is quaint. There are wonderful restaurants and local shops on the main strip and a nice local GPA grocery store. The island is not over commercialized and is family friendly. A great place to relax and take in the beautiful beach surroundings.

We like Tybee because it's a nice close beach - an easy 4hr drive. The food is good - recommend Chamacos and The Surfing Goat. And you could just easily drive in to Savanah for dinner if you wanted more variety - recommend Super Tastes on Charlotte Rd. for sushi. The beaches are full of families and the cost of public parking isn't bad. When we were younger and didn't have children we used to day-trip out to Tybee Island - a quick affordable beach for our budget then and now. We'll definitely keep coming back.

HEATED POOL! All staff were awesome. Location was fabulous. We parked the cars and walked everywhere, just what we wanted. Super sunrises on the beach, a block away. Sunsets over the river, 3 or 4 blocks away.
