We enjoyed the informed friendly staff. At check in the person before us was very upset that there is a $15 parking fee for guests. Because people park and leave their cars to go ski etc. it’s the hotels way to identify who paid to park. The employee stated why there is a parking charge. She was reserved and calm, very professional.
I don’t agree that a guest should pay for parking and a slip can be provided to know the difference between cars from ones that park to adventure. However he was very upset, and rude to her. She doesn’t make the decisions as to who pays for what.
I greeted her with a smile and understood the parking fee. My encounter was pleasant and very nice. I appreciate Ethiopia and Katie for their customer serves skills and tact.
I will return and am okay with having a parking charge to ensure I have a spot. Especially in season. I don’t agree with it, I do understand.

We had a very positive experience. I love walking into a room and the bed looks so comfortable you can't wait to get in it. Our room was very clean, a good size and a large refrigerator. The staff was so sweet, friendly and accommodating, they even found a cork screw for me. The breakfast options were good and to have a fire going in the fireplace made it that much better. We booked the day of with booking.com and got a great deal, $119.00 total for the night. In Truckee that was a sweet deal.

The city of Truckee is very charming.
The city of Truckee is very charming. You have the old Truckee down town, with restaurants, museums and all kinds of store to buy souvenirs and merchandise. Then you have the new Truckee down town that have grocery stores, banks, pet hospitals and more restaurants. The bike path along the river is vantastic, you can ride a long distance or short distance. Beautiful pine trees with the river running thru it. Alpine bliss.

We loved Truckee much more than the busy areas around Lake Tahoe. Truckee is a charming little village. We had really good brunch in town followed by quite an amazing hike around the Donner Summit and the Mount Judah Loop trail. Absolutely loved the Donner lake and all the little rivers and mountains around town.

If you want to get away from the city, but you aren't sure you want the touristy crowds of Lake Tahoe, then come to Truckee and Donner Lake. A great downtown area with restaurants and shops, but not overdone. Endless hiking trails and running streams/rivers everywhere (this was early June). I will be headed back to Truckee every year to breathe and relax and watch both the sunsets and the stars.

Very understaffed no one at the front desk for most of the time we were there. We arrive for breakfast at 9 AM and they said eggs would be done in a few minutes, we waited 20 no eggs were ever made we had very little food for breakfast and they were screaming kids everywhere. There were crumbs and rainbow sprinkles all over the floor and the place was dirty. Sadly I can’t say I would ever recommend this to anyone anyone because there are simply not enough staff to accommodate all of the gas that showed up and paid for a service that they did not get.

Mobility accessible room as requested, Well appointed and very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional, and served by very friendly staff . Only negative was no decaf coffee option on the beverage machine. Price was reasonable for the area and good value for the money.
Big room, hygienic and ok bathroom (bit old, but all worked fine). Hotel felt safe, kind staff and delicious breakfast. Nice location: short drive to Reno or Lake Tahoe.
Large comfortable room with a terrific bathroom with plenty of space and a large shower. Quiet location and a very pleasant common outdoor area attached to the bar.
