Troy is a nice area with plenty of shopping and restaurants.
Troy is a nice area with plenty of shopping and restaurants. It is a great place to stay if you want to explore the area and not stay in busy Detroit. Also, if you are going to music events at Meadowbrook or pine knob, as it is not very far with more options available.

Don’t waste your money.
Don’t waste your money. It needs a facelift and seems sketchy. The front door locks at night. Rooms are grungy and old feeling. Curtains/shades stained and nasty. Chair was gross and old. Plugs didn’t work. Pubic hair in a towel. Short or low to the ground toilets. Just go elsewhere.

The facilities were clean and inviting.
The facilities were clean and inviting. The room, for the most part, was clean as well (there was a pair of gloves and two shot sized liquor bottles left in my room from the previous person’s stay, though). I did find it odd that I couldn’t turn on the bathroom light without turning on the light in the kitchen area. This made it difficult to shower in the morning and allow my spouse to sleep and NOT be disturbed. I was frustrated that breakfast was supposed to be served at 7:00am and wasn’t ready (or the area even opened) until several minutes past that. The staff were NOT necessarily rude, but would literally walk right by you without making eye contact or saying anything (one cleaning lady actually did look up from her phone and say Good Morning). The front desk employees never smiled and were on their phones. Again, NOT rude per se, but just gave off a weird vibe. I would actually stay there again, but would be hopeful to encounter a little more energy form the staff.

Nice to be away just far enough from the city of Detroit.
Nice to be away just far enough from the city of Detroit. Safe city ,had a lot issues with fast food places in area but that’s the only complaint I would have to have about the city of Troy. Also freeway noise didn’t bother me , but there is a some noise from the freeway.

It was ok to stay in my room it was pretty clean.
It was ok to stay in my room it was pretty clean. But, its a pet friendly place and dog poo was all outside when entering, carpet was nasty throughout the hotel. The pool area floor was nasty and that was one of my main reasons for wanting to stay was for the pool I wouldn't use it didn't want to take the chance of catching anything.
I love the building. I love the staff especially the lady who checked us in the night we came, very professional and friendly, another aspect I love about the hotel is the breakfast area and the chef that was on shift on Tuesday morning , very professional and he knows his job.
The room was lovely! The pool is also crystal clear! Outside is a great place for kids to play safely! The staff was amazing! I truly love coming to this hotel, the breakfast, as amazing as well! 10 out of 10
Everything was delightful. Room was perfect and quiet. I always stay at this hotel when I come into town. The staff is always very helpful and very friendly! Breakfast is always delicious!
The food and service at the restaurant is excellent. The food quality and the service is as good as you will find anywhere. A pleasant surprise for a hotel restaurant.
