Outdoor porch space at back is fantastic. Enjoyed family room, sofas, dining table. Kitchen was well equipped, cooking was no problem. Very happy with how clean every floor and room was. Enjoyed the game room too.

It was secluded and away from things but not too far from civilization and very pretty!
Quaint little town. Great way to visit the best parts of the Smoky Mountains away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Sevierville but a short drive to get there if you want to visit those too. Hiking, fishing, river tubing, and bike riding easily accessible in Townsend. Several nice shops, and restaurants. Everything you need for a peaceful getaway.

Small town with little to no amenities.
Small town with little to no amenities. Poor dining choices and the IGA grocery store was the grossest store I’ve ever been in. If you must stay in Townsend because its the closest lodging to Cades Cove find a room with a kitchen - go to Maryville to stock up on groceries then spend all your time in the park.

We go up to that area quite a bit since my daughters live in that area, and it is breathtaking every time. The little restaurants are perfect to eat at or you can go get your chain places if you like.

We got to visit everything we wanted to do!
We got to visit everything we wanted to do! Everyone at every place except the Tremont Lodge and Resort (which we never got to stay) we’re absolutely wonderful and friendly! Reggie at the Tremont Lodge was unfriendly and refused our stay even though we had a reservation! I would not ever recommend that place! We stayed there 10 or so years ago and the people that ran it then were absolutely wonderful! We ended up staying 4 or 5 nights! But it’s not that way now! But Townsend is a great place to visit and the leaves turning were beautiful! Vickie

Townsend is a great place with friendly people.
Townsend is a great place with friendly people. Love Cades Cove and all the water falls. IGA is a good place to get needed supplies and they have a hot bar. Best breakfast is at Townsend Pancake House. Good food is at Riverstone and Jimbob's.
View was amazing, hot tub worked fine. New floors are a nice touch. Townsend was amazing and you don’t feel over crowded. Family of deer walked through under the balcony every morning. Definitely worth doing again.
The location was excellent for my purpose. My room was in a great area. My goal for being in Townsend required me to be present well before breakfast could reasonably be available.
