Liked that I was 3 minutes from where I had to go. Angered that I was charged $80 when I had a confirmed charge of $69.11 that included taxes and shown to employee checking me in. She did care. Said all rms were $80 and refused to change it. Bed was squishy, pillows were cheap and the room, #411, smelled like SKUNK! Really…SKUNK! Not an exaggeration. Will never book another stay there.

I was originally booked for 2 nights. I stayed 1 night only. There was no one on site for check in. We were given a code to access our room. The outside of the hotel was dark and dirty. The toilet was dirty. The sheets snd towels were dingy and stained. The air conditioner leaked water on the floor. Someone entered our room while on the phone with management being told it was his room. The trains run through the area often making lots of noise. The owner marked us as a no show when we actually were on site. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

The biggest disappointment of this stay was I booked 2 nights, march 19th and 20th
I called on the 18th and told manager wasn't going to make the 19th but would be there on 20th, he said no problem and when we get there he said we would only be charged one night, then when we left he said we had to pay for both nights, will never stay there again😡

The only thing we are dissatisfied in. The amount we were giving thru booking.com was 87.00 totAl. The employee told us she used our credit card to hold the room. The amount was 100.00 total. She said this amount would be credited back after we checked out. As of today we have not received our 100.00 credited back. How long does it take.

If we had chose a different hotel I think it would have been better we absolutely stayed gone the entire time cause we didnt enjoy are room . However we did enjoy holly beach and the ride to the beach even seen alligators off the side of road cut are trip short a day early we were so ready to leave the hotel put alot of money into this trip and wish we had a do over 😂I recomend going on down a few exits and stay somewhere else or check into a RV or boathouse right on the beach we didnt know until after we got there that we could have stayed on the beach that would have been better!

If you don't live in the area( I live 80 miles north) it's a great place to hang your hat for a get away to the coast or any where between Lake Charles and Cameron. Between the casino's in Lake Charles and the great fishing between there and Cameron there's plenty to do and no shortage of great places to eat both in LC and Sulphur and most of the restaurant's and motel's in Sulphur are in the same square mile stretch of highway at I-10 and 27 South yet it still manages to stay quiet at night.
