We stay at this property all fall while attending football games. It is clean, comfortable and the staff is excellent! There is a good variety of breakfast items to choose from.
This rating is for the Super 8 by Wyndham in Story City, not...
This rating is for the Super 8 by Wyndham in Story City, not the town. We were there for Iowa State University graduation in Ames. In all my years of travel I have never had this bad of an experience with a motel. Our room had not been cleaned. Obvious crumbs on the old and stained carpet. The mini-fridge was turned off, and there was mold or mildew growing inside! When I asked for a different room I was told nothing was available. I was promised someone would clean our room in less than an hour. We left for Ames and when we returned several hours later, it had not been cleaned. When I told the front desk this, I was met with one lie after another. We ended up moving to a vacant room that did not exist when we first arrived. Do not stay here. I will hesitate to ever stay at a Super 8 by Wyndham again. I may avoid using booking.com as well.

Peaceful and quiet ( I been going to xtreme stress so that peacefulness help alot)
Until the roof reparation team began to make lots of noises ,but I put some sooting music after the ambulance came to make sure my heart was OK ( I got anxiety attack right after they start working but it really was a combination of a bad news in my errants that day and the sudden loud banging on my side of the room.. ) but I am ok ,please don't worry .. I love the hotel and the staff ..
This property was filthy. The room was disgustingly dirty. Food left on the floor, carpet not cleaned. Complained, given different room. Same thing. Front desk proceeded to look for a clean room for over an hour late at night and never found one. I finally looked for the individual to figure out what they were going to do but they were only going to comp our room. We chose to depart the hotel, cancel reservations.
They stated breakfast was 6-9. At 6:45 there was nothing set out and nonstaff around. Room was very musty smelling and staff blamed it on a field next to hotel. We were placed in a handicap room without asking us. Feel bad that we took this room over someone that needed it.
