Such a thoughtfully put together place. The room was adorable, but what really put it together for me was the outdoor firepit with blankets, the out door shower and all the beach amenities we could need, and the super helpful front desk. Only stayed one night but it was memorable!

Beautiful room. Loved the high ceilings, large bed, and bathroom tiles. Nice shower as well. Nice decor/ambiance.

Super cute cottages. Well appointed and decorated very nicely.
This Mill Valley, California hotel is located at the base of Mt. Tamalpais. The Golden Gate Bridge is 6.8 mi drive from the hotel. All guest rooms include free WiFi.

Mountain Home Inn was a big surprise. It has a history that goes along with the area of redwoods, and goes back to the beginning of when the redwoods began to be protected. It is across the street from the John Muir forests (about a 10 minute drive to John Muir entrance to the redwoods. The breakfast that was included was very good, and a great way to start off the day - having coffee sitting on the deck overlooking the scenery and planning your day.
Directly across the street from Ocean Beach, Rodeway Inn & Suites San Francisco-Great Highway offers guest rooms with free WiFi access and free guest parking.
It's a quaint little quiet town. Unfortunately there are not enough options for eating. One food truck that has good food but opens when they open and closes by 5. The Breakers, really good food and fun atmosphere, but closed two days a week and not open for breakfast. That left the Parkside. Food was excellent but a little pricey, and it was the only sit-down restaurant to count on. They also have a snack bar and bakery for options, but still all one establishment. It's quite a drive to eat anywhere else. That's my only complaint.
