This is our second visit to this facility, each time on way through either home or to visit family. First, I was born in Spokane, then swept away as an infant never to return until this summer (at age 72!) when a business trip to Kennewick, Washington for my husband, put me close enough to enjoy 24 hours in Spokane. The World's Fair of 1974 encouraged Spokane to do a major cleanup of the railyards and the waterfront. The remnants of the fair still exist and the waterfront is beautiful and fun. We rode in a skyride over the waterfall in downtown Spokane. Yes there is a waterfall downtown and it is gorgeous. We also rode on the indoor carousel. We walked extensively in the waterfront area. There is lots of parking albeit mostly paid. We went up to the exquisite Manito Park overlooking the city in a beautiful area of old homes many mid-century or craftsman. We had an amazing breakfast at a restaurant called the Old European, yum. There is an outdoor skating path in downtown where you can rent skates and it is iced over in the winter for ice skating as they also rent ice skates.

I came to Spokane to meet up with friends and attend the Farm Chicks Show , the home we stayed in was perfect. It was very nice space , comfortable and spotless . Without knowing Spokane at all , the home was in very short distance to Starbucks and the Fairgrounds.

Spokane is a vibrant city with a rich history.

Spokane is a vibrant city with a rich history. Beautiful turn of the century architecture, built when railroads were the king! Lots of great restaurant options, fun shops, microbreweries. Definitely take a walk on the Centennial Trail along the river, and see the falls. The Sky tram across the falls is fun!

    Spokane has good and bad.

Spokane has good and bad. Food scene and walking the downtown are is good. Parking is expensive and sucks. Cleanliness and safety downtown especially at night is a concern. The old lyrics, "The freaks come out at night." are appropriate. Even Spokane is experiencing similar degredation as Portland, Seattle etc. Why do these cities allow themselves to become so unsafe and dirty? all pretty much run by the libtards.

I only spent my time in Downtown which has nice restaurants and everything is within walking distance. The best part is the beautiful natural park called "Riverfront Park" where the Spokane river is traversing; there are playgrounds for children, benches for relaxation, jogging trails, a pond with geese and ducks, a small Japanese garden and an open auditorium for performances. The garden with huge trees is magnificent. This park with the natural river in the middle of downtown is uniquely Spokane.

    Spokane is a nice city.

Spokane is a nice city. There are a lot of restaurants downtown within walking distance or a short Uber ride. The river area is beautiful and a must-see. As with other cities, the unhoused population is growing, and can be somewhat aggressive, so travel in groups and be aware of your surroundings.

What a lovely hotel! The space was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Be aware that valet parking is $30/night, but was very easy to use, much more than other options nearby. The neighborhood is in transition—it's full of theaters and indie shops, but also pretty empty, especially at night when there's nothing showing at the theaters. But the hotel itself was super-safe, and I'd be quick to stay there again.

I am really mixed about this hotel but it´s more about staff than accommodation itself. On one side comfy hotel in the very centre of Spokane and a nice receptionist in the evening (good impression), on the other horrible morning staff next day. It surely could happen that something is broken (meaning only cold breakfast was available) but the attitude of the morning person was simply terrible...couldn´t care less.

We've stayed at this hotel once before, so we knew what to expect from the room. It was good enough for an overnight stay. It isn't advertised as a 5-star hotel and it isn't, but it is a passable 3-star.
