The Boulevard Hotel, hotel in Ship Bottom

This property is located 1056 feet from the beach in Beach Haven Gardens on Long Beach Island. This motel has a heated outdoor pool and an elevator.

Great location, clean room, amazing pool! Overall great hotel. The hotel is beautifully renovated and features a great outdoor roof deck in addition to the pool. Even though you are right on Long Beach blvd, you do not hear any noise once the glass door is shut. It’s great that the hotel has beach chairs and boogie boards to use for the beach also.

Lots of construction in front of our motel.

Lots of construction in front of our motel. Seemed dangerous crossing the street. Our motel said they provided beach chairs and umbrellas but they Don’t have umbrellas, the manager said the island doesn’t want them giving out umbrellas any more, due to injuries. But people also need shade. We rented umbrellas from Ron Jon. Walking 3 blocks with a giant umbrella through construction on a 97 degree day was really a pain. We would have brought our own from home.

I like Ship Bottom, there are plenty of places to shop for groceries, drug store, shopping, and food within walking distance of each other. Easy to drive around and find parking and easy to walk if you want to leave the car behind with plenty of cross walks. Beach is large and very clean. Plenty of life guards and marked areas for swimming.

We were there last month. Everything was beautiful.

We were there last month. Everything was beautiful. We had a horizon view of the ocean and a walk-in shower. The restaurant served great food and the drive from one end to the other was very nice. Seven eleven and Wawa is in walking distance.

    Eating out was not easy.

Eating out was not easy. Most of the restaurants are taking advantage of tourists, even after Labor Day. It was hard to find good food at reasonable prices. Most entrees, even in modest restaurants, were over $30. A pizza was $22. Fine, probably trying to make some money after the pandemic closed them down.

We went for the International Kite Festival and had a great time. Great central location for a Long Beach Island visit. Great dining, great shops, very walkable. Only downside is the lack of a boardwalk.

I liked the aesthetics of the hotel.

I liked the aesthetics of the hotel. I would have appreciated if we were told that reservations for the restaurant need to be made earlier in the day. My son went on the website to make reservations and it showed a 5:30 open reservation but when he tried to confirm, it switched to 7:00 pm. It would be helpful if the front desk was more informative.
