The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with an architectural design that was truly impressive. The backyard was a highlight—beautifully arranged and perfect for relaxing. It was cozy and ideal for a couple, and the spacious upstairs bedroom offered a lovely view that added to the charm.

Comfort Inn, hotel in Saugerties

The hotel is located with easy access to Interstate 87 and State Route 32.

The experience was disappointing from start to finish. The breakfast was underwhelming, the hotel room had an unpleasant odor, and the pool area was poorly maintained. Overall, it fell far below expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Super 8 by Wyndham Kingston, hotel in Saugerties

Located 1 mile off Interstate 87, this hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Sawkill Family Ski Center and features free Wi-Fi access in every room and a daily breakfast grab and go.

IN ROOM #108, THE FAUX WOOD FLOORING WAS STICKY TO MY SHOES, THE TV WAS NOT WORKING, THEN THE STAFF GOT IT WORKING, THE BED LAMP WAS NOT WORKING AND STAFF GOT A LIGHTBULB THEN A NEW LAMP, THE ROOM HAD NO HOT WATER AND THE TUB FAUCET WAS BROKEN. SO NEITHER I OR MY ELDERLY 86YR OLD MOTHER COULD TAKE A SHOWER OR BATH ON AN ICY RAINY NIGHT- EVEN AFTER WE GOT RAINED ON. I HAD TO TAKE A SHOWER DOWN THE HALL IN ROOM #101. THE BUILDING IS DISMAL AND DEPRESSING, LOW CEILINGS, OLD CARPET, MY DOG KEPT SMELLING VERMIN EVERYWHERE ON THE FLOOR, AND BARKING AT THE CORNER FOR MICE...THERE WAS NO WAY THAT I WAS GOING TO EAT ANY BREAKFAST. AND THEN I ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT ON MY WAY OUT AND GOT NONE AND THE MANAGER DID NOT CALL OR EMAIL ME- IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT THAT GUY. THEN SOME RANDOM PEOPLE ARE TEXTING ME AND YET NO ONE HAD OFFERED ME A SINGLE DISCOUNT.

    I booked using an app.

I booked using an app. It was easy and I got the room as described. We needed a dog-friendly place and this was one of 2 in the area. In fact their green space was big and good for the dog to sniff out rabbits, but none were sighted. The property was clean and room comfortable. The front desk agent recommended the restaurant across the street and the meal there was decent. The breakfast was pretty much what is offered everywhere else, but we just have coffee from the dining room, and do not use the coffee system in the room, which had a refrigerator and a microwave.

Saugerties is a quaint sort of town. We found the Village Diner was an excellent place for breakfast. The people were friendly and the food was good! We also bought some pastry at Hudson Valley Desserts which was so good!

The town has a lot of interesting shops, some of which are in historical buildings. There are several cute places to get coffee and espresso drinks. We stayed at the Village Inn and walked to these restaurants: Ohana Cafe, Olsen & Company, Bella Luna, and The Tavern at Diamond Mills.

I love to snowboard at the Hunter mountain.

I love to snowboard at the Hunter mountain. I do avail myself of the opportunity by taking in the scenery, spend some time at the local shops. The atmosphere is peaceful as I am able to clear my head, coming from the city.
