Santa Fe is simply extraordinary. We loved it the first time we visited and have returned many times. Great food. Excellent arts, music, & other entertainment. Fascinating local culture. Openly tolerant of every kind of difference. Full of sites with historical interest. Excellent museums and galleries. Beautiful sunsets. A special treat is the Native arts market that is daily lined up in front of the Palace of the Governors. You could visit a hundred times and always find something new and fresh here.

Santa Fe at Christmas is lovely.
Santa Fe at Christmas is lovely. The plaza was decorated and we enjoyed doing the Christmas Eve Canyon Road walk amongst the luminarias. We also enjoyed shopping and eating out, as well as hiking on the nearby trails. The Georgia O'Keeffe museum was also very interesting. When we had free time, we wandered around and looked at historical sites and signs.
If you're planning to eat at a popular place, get your reservations in early! We ended up eating at 9 a couple of times...

Santa Fe was our base for day hikes and snowshoeing in the nearby mountains, so we didn't spend a lot of time in the city itself. We ate at 3 very different restaurants for dinner (La Choza, Kohnami, Lino's), and they were all tasty and more affordable than I expected.

Santa Fe is one of my favourite places to visit - except when it is busy!! Note to self - avoid Santa Fe during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, and check for other busy times!!

Loved the laid-back south-western charm and arty vibe of downtown Santa Fe. Adobe and heritage buildings everywhere and lots of art galleries, museums, plazas and shops to explore. We had a lovely lunch at a local tradition, Plaza Cafe Downtown, who have been operating since 1905, and also discovered the best bakery on our travels, Sage Bakehouse. Just superb. Two days was nowhere near enough. We'll be back.

The breakfast was very nice. The location is excellent for staying near The Plaza in Santa Fe. The parking was very convenient.
The hotel has a Bar / Restaurant on site which has great drinks, good service and affordable food.
There is also a van that will pick up and drop off guests to local restaurants and attractions. We did not use it but it is a nice feature.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our room across the street from the main building was big and comfortable. Convenient parking. One of the best hotel breakfasts we had anywhere in the US. Home made marshmallows in the lobby were delicious. Walking distance to the main square.
The room was spacious and clean. We decided to stay for the third night as we wanted to spend more time in Santa Fe and Taos. Breakfast was adequate. The young male receptionist in the mornings was polite and helpful. The reception had lots of maps and leaflets of the area.
The hotel is centrally located for exploring downtown Santa Fe. The room was good, comfortable and quiet. The staff were helpful whenever we needed to know something.
