This is a small "boutique" hotel that's very close to the H Street transit center - bus and trolley to downtown San Diego just a 25 minute ride.
The room was small but had everything I needed. It was a bit dark - not much natural light.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well-equipped. The shower was possibly the best I have ever had in a hotel - fantastic! It was cleaned daily.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was free bottled water and cookies available to take out each morning.
The buffet breakfast was $7.95 extra but was worth it and good value.

The remodel INSIDE the rooms were very nice looking, as long as you did not take to close a look to notice that many corners were cut. The bed was comfy but I enjoy a very firm mattress and I know that is not for everyone, I'd classify the pillows the same. The room itself is very clean and when I opened the door, I was honestly taken a back a bit because the outside doors not match the inside.

I should’ve just spent 50 more to go to a better motel if I knew they were gonna rob me of 150, charged my card extra.STAY AWAY! it was dirty and unsafe, the employee Orlando and the young boys at night are rude and shady watch out!!!! Not a family friendly spot! And the roads leading up to the motel is killer on tires FYI. Spend a little more on somewhere better so you don’t get ROBBED A lot more.

Small town with a really good Chinese Restaurant.
Small town with a really good Chinese Restaurant. Very close to a nature reserve with great trails for hiking, and a place to go horseback riding. I highly recommend both the staff and horses at Ponyland. They even have a small petting zoo.

Do not stay here. I left within 15 minutes of checking in.
Do not stay here. I left within 15 minutes of checking in. The TV had been stolen from the room, a drug addict staying next door tried to get into my room as soon as I got there, the lock on the door was broken, there were drug deals happening out front, the sheets were covered in red and brown stains, the room was awful. I don’t expect 5 star hotels, but I was genuinely scared I’d be murdered if I stayed here so I left almost immediately and drove to another motel.

You cheated me out of breakfast THAT I PAID FOR.
You cheated me out of breakfast THAT I PAID FOR. There was a little sign in the lobby apologizing for the fact that you no longer serve, and the excuse was, we're trying to change the website. Trying? It takes an IT pro minutes to do that. When I tried to find my room, all of the walkway lights were out in the pitch black. I had to go back and ask to have the lights turned on in a very dicey neighborhood. The exterior of the hotel looks totally shabby. I don't care if it's in a dicey neighborhood, I'm not a dicey client. I ALWAYS stay at your hotels, look me up. You owe me.

Pros: Stayed in a re-modeled room which was good.
Pros: Stayed in a re-modeled room which was good. Girl at front desk was great!
Cons: Police arrived at 2 AM in the morning due to a fight 2 doors down from us. Needless to say there was a lot of commotion going on and we were needing rest from a long travel day with another long day ahead of us.
