The breakfast was delicious. There was a variety of dishes to choose from. The food was kept at the right temperature, and the portions were generous. I even paid a compliment to the lady chef for her home fries. They were very tasty and out of this world.

A little remote from restaurants, etc. which are at least 30 minutes walk away, but very nice outlook onto the river.

This is a beautiful landscape with lots of fascinating history to discover. Small town feeling at the south end and much more commercially developed in the middle. (And associated traffic.) The north end seems to be where the local nature conservancy is preserving the land. The oak trees all over the island are phenomenally beautiful. Plenty of activities are also available. Stop by the visitor center near the lighthouse park for lots of information on SSI and the other islands along the GA coast. I love SSI for its small scale old established neighborhood feel with some lavish flair you can see here and there. Had dinner at Mullet Bay and The Nest. Both were casual and tasty and different. I didn’t have time to visit the marina, beach, labyrinth, and WWII museum. I’m already anticipating my next visit ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful part of our state.
Beautiful part of our state. Love the quiet laid back feel and how easy it is getting around. Rainy weather doesn’t always make it dreary. Barbara Jeans used to be wonderful, not so much anymore. Mullet Bay great for seafood and Palmers for breakfast. So much history around to explore and learn. Super walkable and golf cart friendly. Pets welcome almost anywhere.

Small town with lovely homes and properties to see.
Small town with lovely homes and properties to see. Plenty of shops and good restaurants. Fiddler's Restaurant on Arnold Street is wonderful with a marsh view, casual atmosphere and attire; seafood is fresh and delicious! Mullet Bay has a good happy hour and yummy shrimp po-boy. Southern Soul BBQ has great BBQ; there are too many restaurants to choose from 😊 We rode our bikes and enjoyed the small town feel.

The island has a lot of amenities.
The island has a lot of amenities. Everything is easy to get to. Everyone on the island including tourists seem so friendly. There is easy access to the beach and it's not overly crowded. Finding places to eat is a breeze, but be warned, the crowds really come out in the evening. Walking after sunset on any part of the island is refreshing. We didn't try all the eateries, but Mallery Street had a lot to offer. Also, don't rule out some additional spots on inward down Ocean Blvd. Whether on the beach or in the public swimming pool or visiting the local museum, the activities are plentiful. The island has a lot of hidden history, so make sure you explore.

Our Favorite GA beach, its generally quiet and peaceful with not a lot of kids specific activities, so few teenagers or large families. Lots of great restaurants and shopping but beware it gets crowded on the weekends so go during the week if you can.

St. Simons is a favorite spot to visit.
St. Simons is a favorite spot to visit. The pier / lighthouse area is easy to walk around with nice shops and a variety of places to have a meal or just grab a snack. We love to visit Half Shell and Mellow Mushroom, and finish it off with ice cream from Moo Cow. An absolute must visit for BBQ fans is Southern Soul. Lots of choices but the pulled pork melts in your mouth! Don’t ask, just go.

The whole place had a rustic holiday feel which was bright and cheery. The breakfast was good with enough choices to find something. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There were some really nice restaurants very close by to walk to and a short walk down the road leads to a lovely beach. There are free bikes to use and lots of cycle paths about. Hotel give you beach chairs to borrow if required.
The Breakfast was very good. Hot, Fresh and Tasty. Good Variety of food. The staff on duty the days we were there were very professional and helpful. Courteous and Friendly. Room and bathroom were very clean. Hotel atmosphere was quiet and we felt very comfortable. Thank you.
Nice hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was fine, lady running breakfast area kept it very clean and tidy. Suite nice and roomy for my family. Nice and clean.
Very good value for money. Beds comfortable.
Not too far to drive to beach/ lighthouse etc.
All staff were exceptional!! Very accommodating & friendly! The manager, Rob, ensured we had all the comforts we needed! Highly recommend this hotel & we will be staying here again!! The complimentary coffee machine in the lobby was a great plus!!
The hotel is ideally situated in Pier Village close to lots of restaurants, shops, bars and the Pier. The hotel pool is a great size and well maintained. Our family room was a good size.
