Joses Cantina had the most amazing mexican breakfast, very disappointed our trip was not long enough to enjoy a dinner there, it has to be amazing. Try whitefish dip or go to Masseys and buy some, very tasty. We missed it but you can watch them clean fish at Masseys too.

I always enjoy the UP, the people are nice the air is clean and it's just a beautiful place. We went for the purpose of seeing Les Cheneaux Wooden Boat Show in Hessel, MI., which was awsome. What I didn't like were the prices of food, gas and souvenirs. Plus if you didn't pay cash you had an up charge of 3%.

Prices higher than 3 months earlier.

Prices higher than 3 months earlier. Gas dropped 15 cents a gallon as we left. Long waits for ferry rides to Island with 1 ferry company shutting down. Motels and restaurants good. Nice music in the park.

    The staff was excellent!

The staff was excellent! A lot of the tv stations didn't have sound. I booked that hotel because it had a fitness room. The fitness room didn't have air conditioning and it was 85 degrees. The windows were open but that didn't cool it down. I got up at 6 a.m. thinking it would be cool enough to work out, but it was still extremely hot. The view of Lake Huron was wonderful!

St Ignace is a small and quiet town with beautiful views of the Island. Very much like what Mackinac City was before it was taken over by the tourism big shots. Parking is easy, people are friendly and it is much less expensive than Mackinac City. Plus....the ferry ride to the Island is shorter.

    Quaint town. Quiet but convenient.

Quaint town. Quiet but convenient. The lake view is beautiful, lake access, beach access, boardwalks. Gift and souvenir shops. Candy, fudge, ice cream and restaurants. Public restrooms. Ferry to Mackinac island. Favorite store was Indian Village. Favorite pizza was B&C Pizza with ice cream and candy across the street at Zak&Mac,Dinner at Mackinac Grill and walk to lighthouse from their parking lot.

This Motel is absolutely spotless. Not a piece of dust on the floorboards not a water spot on the sink. We've stayed in lots of motels all over....the persons cleaning this motel are exceptional. Check in and out was fast. Bed was comfy. Good location to ferry docks if you're visiting the Island and owner sells discounted tickets. A cute UP Motel, well taken care of.

Excellent stay with clean room/pool, very friendly and helpful staff, and a great location. Also had a good continental breakfast with lots of options. I read tons of area hotel reviews and this one had the best and definitely lives up to what others said. We will definitely stay again if we need a hotel in the area.
