Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Meadowlands Area, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Saddle Brook

Adjacent to the Meadowlands Sports Complex and 10 miles from Times Square in Manhattan, this Carlstadt hotel features an indoor pool, a hot continental breakfast, and rooms with free Wi-Fi.

My stay at Holiday Inn was a very pleasant experience for my first time in America as the staff especially the Hotel Manager were very helpful and were constantly quick to help us with whatever we needed regardless of the time. The hotel was clean and the breakfast area had a lot of options. We felt safe and secure and would recommend this place for families. I will definitely visit this hotel again when I come back for another holiday in America. Just a caution though the location is in New Jersey city which is a bit far from New York City. However, there is a bus transportation right by the hotel which goes straight to Times Square.

When I book a King room on booking.com, I expect to stay in a king room. I was put in a double room instead. This is a downgrade. Food in the restaurant is sub par. The bartender doesn’t really know drinks that well so keep in simple

It is a nice place to stay in.

It is a nice place to stay in. We have stayed here many times. The location is excellent. You can be in Manhattan in 45 minutes. The restaurant on the top floor is awesome with breathtaking views of the city and excellent menu. Rooms are comfortable. My only concern is that housekeeping can be erratic. You would not know if your room will be done even when you remind the front desk about it.

I HAD 2 QUEEN SIZE ROOMS NOT KING SIZE.

I HAD 2 QUEEN SIZE ROOMS NOT KING SIZE. I HAD TO REQUEST TO CHANGE OUR ROOMS WITH A FRIDGE AND MICROWAVE AND A BATHTUB. ONE OF THE ROOMS FRIDGE WAS NOT WORKING BUT DIDN'T FIND OUT UNTIL IT WAS TIME TO LEAVE WHEN I NEEDED TO GET MY FOOD WHICH WAS RUINED. WE HAD NO BATHTUB WHICH WE REQUESTED SEVERAL TIMES. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE UNTIL THEY UPGRADE EVERYTHING AND HAVE MORE CARING AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF...AND MANAGER.

Our A/C was broken in room assigned to us, we had just arrived from an 8 hour drive. We had changed into lounge clothes and tried to turn it on, and nothing. Called the front desk and no one answered the first two times. Third time they answered and I explained the situation and he said hes coming up with a new room key. He moved us from 309 to 310. He was very prompt, it was just an inconvenience to be exhausted and then have to find the strength to move your belongs again. Breakfast was a nightmare and neither bathrooms had plastic/or trash liners. No fridge in our room, when I asked for one they stated it only comes in the King suite rooms, not the double bed rooms or single! Breakfast was a nightmare, and we should have gotten it with our 300 dollar booking and did not, which meant we had to venture out and rearrange plans verses have it in the same building, and now we had to spend funds we did not plan on spending. I asked about the healthcare workers discount and was told that only applied if I booked straight with the hotel, verses third party. No problem taking our money, but obviously standing by thier word is a huge ISSUE!

This is a good place to stay overnight.

This is a good place to stay overnight. Location is good, and close to the highway. But during winter time, the heating unit is so noisy, it's like I'm sleeping next to a generator. Changing rooms didn't help
