I recently stayed at the The J House Greenwich Hotel for a Labor Day weekend staycation and, unfortunately, I was not impressed with the room. The hotel, which is supposed to be a high-end boutique, seems to be showing signs of wear and tear. The room itself was muggy, the blinds were dusty, and I found hairs on the bottom layer of the comforter, which made it hard to sleep. Though my husband didn't want me to complain since we were only staying one night, it really detracted from the experience. On the plus side, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which I truly appreciated. The massages at the spa were a highlight—easily a 10/10. However, the spa itself is very small, so keep that in mind if you're expecting more space. Breakfast was another disappointment. The continental breakfast was underwhelming, and the dining area tables were dirty, so we ended up sitting in the lobby to eat. The restaurant was overpriced for what it offered, and the food was nothing to write home about. Overall, I would return just for the spa experience, but I wouldn't stay overnight again.

This is my first experience in a "high end" property (and I have been to Mexico, Jamacia, Dominican Rep part of the Excellence collection, Puerto Rico in the last 12 months, ALL provided with bath robes - The Opus did not!
