We booked this hotel in March 2024. They took a payment from us for one nights stay in August 2024. The cancellation deadline was Dec 1st. I was contacted on December 2 to be informed that they do not take bookings for December and they have passed the booking onto another hotel. I replied that I was not happy and wanted a refund. They came back to inform me that the other hotel had better facilities and that Booking.com should not have accepted my reservation. I responded again and told them that they knew of my booking in March and they had taken a payment in August and have left it until the day after I could cancel to inform me. In between these dates I had a message from them via Booking.com to ask for my credit card details to be provided by text to them. I find this totally unacceptable (they have refunded the money) that they knew of the booking and then proceeded to pass me onto another hotel. We booked this place for a reason so find it incredible that they took this arrogant attitude during our vacation.

Smaller, more intimate than Gloucester, but still accessible to Boston by commuter rail. Large selection of local artisan wares. Managed to snag a reservation at My Place By the Sea. Would revisit but not before also trying places more frequented by locals.

A charming town with much to see and do in and around the...
A charming town with much to see and do in and around the town. Excellent food options. We especially loved the lobster rolls and fries at Bearskin Neck Bistro and the donuts at the Brothers Cafe. Shalin Liu Performance Center and the Paper House were two places not to miss. And you can't leave Rockport without seeing Motif #1.

Didn’t like - no parking at Long Beach and other beaches near there except for pricey and overfilled private lots. Next time I’ll be bringing my bike to avoid the traffic and parking.
Restaurant hours are limited. Every place is booked solid or closed.

Dog Friendly. Great outdoor space, nicely landscaped with lots of spread out seating plus a fire pit. Room were spacious, heated pool was very nice. Rooms were large and had everything we needed. Bed was comfy. Look forward to staying here again.

There are seafood places to eat every where with water...
There are seafood places to eat every where with water views. The only downfall is the traffic during the summer. I probably wouldn't go again until just after Labor day, but I would definitley go back again. Ate at Mile Marker 1 and Seaport Grille which had awesome food. Pricey, but good. Well worth it!

The Seafarer is an immaculate, comfortable, and welcoming inn. The room was spacious with a wonderful foam mattress and a small kitchenette. The public spaces are comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, and varied.

We had a very nice two nights, Rockport is very beautiful town and all went very smooth, Jennifer, the person at the front desk was super helpful, we had to cancel one booking on another location to be able to stay for two days and she took care of everything on a very efficient way
Our room was really clean and comfortable. Loved the decor. Breakfast was great - so easy to order upon arrival and ready outside our room the next morning! Would highly recommend staying here. Walking distance to Rockport shops and restaurants
This Guest House is perfection. Everything is so well thought out. The furnishings and decoration alone, are a feast for the eyes. We would return in a heartbeat. We also loved Rockport.
