I rated this neutral because we didn’t spend enough there to fully evaluate. However, two positive things stood out to me:
1. There was a Starbucks nearby so I was happy.
2. People there seemed very nice.

Don't stay here! I did and regretted it.
Don't stay here! I did and regretted it. We asked for Handicapped rooms with two beds. There is a reason you ask for handicapped rooms! You expect to have rails in the bathroom, ( the shower did, but the water pressure was so low in the sink and shower, that all it did was spit at you.) You must have a taller toilet, not the low ones, and I was walked all over the bottom floor with the manager, to find a taller toilet, finally did, then waited 20 minutes for the room to be made up, and the blankets on the bed were inadequate with no more available, and the phone did not work. The linens were not cozy, the bed was not comfortable... wifi was not available... the TV did work fine. The location was good, but I will not stay with Motel 6 ever again!!

I seldom get to western Wyoming.
I seldom get to western Wyoming. Rock Springs has a pretty good downtown. My destination was the Sidekicks Book and Wine Bar where I had a book talk about my memoir "Beyond Heart Mountain." Two blocks away is the historic Broadway Theater which is a venue for live entertainment. I had lunch at the Bitter Creek Brewery which was pretty good. The downtown wasn't as vibrant as I would have hoped. The previous time I was in Rock Springs was when the theater was being updated. There was talk about big things happening.

Breakfast was a disaster. NO COFFEE, some sweet roles, and little
containers of peaches. That's it.
We had a nice dinner at Village Inn just up the street and did a bit of
shopping at the Walmart almost next door.

Rooms were clean and well furnished.
Rooms were clean and well furnished. Beds were very comfortable. Hallway carpeting appeared dirty and needed replacement. Breakfast was OK but average.
They need more luggage trolleys as it was a long way from the parking lot to the room. Not recommended for elderly travelers. Receptionist was not very welcoming and TV service was out. They should have discounted the room rate for lack of TV.

Definitely comfortable for a relatively inexpensive hotel in Rock Springs. We reserved a king room through Booking.com but upon arrival the staff informed us they were sold out of king rooms. Not a big deal, just be aware that their room availability is not accurate on third party sites. Room smelled nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable with soft, large linens. Being on the top floor, it was very quiet all through the night. Nice large gravel lot adjacent to the hotel that accommodated our truck and large trailer perfectly.
When we first walked in we were not sure the quality of the hotel met our expectations. Turned out they had a large group that had rented their public areas for a party! After that ended the hotel was nice. The breakfast was EXCELLENT! The older lady working there was a joy-offered everyone a bottle of water to take with them, kept all the foods full, warm and for a hotel, COOKED WELL! and came around and checked on customers-exceptional service! We left glad to have stayed there-even the pool area was above average.
Hotel was pretty much what I expected for $65 a night. It’s not near any shops or restaurants so expect to take the car out to eat. Whole place had a shabby look about it and my room door you had to open with a shoulder as it dragged on the carpet. Room was okay, just tired. Street outside was noisy with dragging cars and fire engines half the night.
My stay in Rock Springs was unplanned, due to a closure of I-80. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, pointing me toward WY state road conditions sites.
My consolation prize for having the day's travel cut short was the pool and hot tub. A swim and a soak were just the thing after hours on the road white-knuckled in high winds.
Staff person at check in was very friendly. On site laundry was clean and change was readily available at the desk. I liked the comfortable chair in the room. The hotel is off the main road so away from heavy traffic.
